Travelling back from Saturdays game on the train to Bury st Edmunds with my sixteen year old daughter, I'm embarrassed to say that I witnessed the most misogynistic and Neanderthal behaviour of one of our own towards a lady on the train. This thirty something decided to openly gawp, not so subtlety roaming his stare at her up and down, then making comments like "she wants me but doesn't know it", "she'll be mine later".
Now I'm ashamed that I didn't intervene and ashamed I stopped my daughter, but unfortunately you don't know these days if someone is carrying a blade, but I'm even more ashamed that his mates didn't stop him as all were also in Ipswich gear.
All women should be allowed to travel without fear of being harassed and I hope if someone reads this and they are a mate of his then next time they'll reign him in. |

Serious question, why do we kick off at 7.45? It used to be 7pm or 7.30pm years ago. Like many travelling supporters I have over a 100 miles to drive to each home game. Perhaps in the age of hybrid working this can be addressed so we can all get home at a decent ti e and up for work the next day.
Saying that I’m working in wales tonight and tomorrow so will miss the game, next time it happens I’ll offer up my two season tickets to someone locally. |
