Portuguese media were reporting Sporting have agreed terms and want to thrash out a deal with Panathinaikos but other reports saying the latter are now determined to keep him and offer him better terms. One that seems unlikely now anyway. |

Leicester are waiting on the outcome of their latest appeal but as always there's no real clarity for anyone on how long it will take. Think the word is though that they're just kicking the can down the road and are expected to get a pretty hefty deduction at some point down the line i.e. 10+ points. |

Yeah, need to be a bit of a physical demon to be a Prem midfielder but for us I guess it's tricky as the sort of players we'd want would happily be taken by more established clubs. Seen a few shouts for Ugochukwu on loan which I think would be good as one player in there.
Wouldn't be surprised if we look abroad for someone who fits the bill - seems we're interested in this Yank from Italy but would be another loan and as you say think we'd want to spend a decent fee getting someone in who's ours to keep, as evidenced by the Downes chase. |

Think it's a very tricky position to recruit for. We ask a lot from CM and in the Prem even if you're not *quite* up to the level you can get overrun very easily. I like Sheaf but I think if he were first choice we'd have heard a bit more by now about making a serious play for him. Reckon we're still testing the water a bit with who we can get in.
Given that we were prepped to spend almost £20 mil on a LW I imagine we're seeing that as a bit of a priority position as well. |

Your 3rd para is the one for me - won't take much for divs who have been accustomed to us winning every week to start moaning.
We'll probably be on the end of a few nasty results but those won't define what happens to us. Basically we need to get slightly better results than 3 other teams and make sure we do the business against those teams that are likely to be around us down the bottom. I think we can just about do that but it won't be easy by any stretch. |

Definitely seems to be what we tried to do with the Greek lad but Panathinaikos clearly happy to sit back and wait until someone coughs up what they want, which looks unlikely to be us.
Think we may have to wait for some deals now - especially our loan spots which we'll have to utilise well. |

Can't speak for them but had a similar-ish situation a few months ago when I dropped my old iPhone (se) and after the iPhone store in town wouldn't/couldn't fix it as it was too old (so they may well say yours is as well) they advised I took it to Acefast on Spring Road. At least one of the main guys in there is an ex-Apple technician and specialises in older phones so they know what they're doing and sorted my issue out within a few hours. |

Suspect they might have got themselves in a situation where there are too many people with memberships for everyone to benefit from having one.
Probably also tweaking how they do away ticket sales as well so might announce it all as one as the first membership-related questions will be about that. |

Yeah, imagine Ashton will take a few minutes to beat the crap out of a cushion or something. All that hard work to get him on the brink of joining then Villa swoop in last minute with pre-agreed terms and he changes his mind.
Clearly our first choice and disappointing to miss out but mindset has to be move on and crack on with getting an alternative target. |

Dunno, think people get lost in nostalgia, even only going back a few years. There have been a mix of great and dull games this tournament like there is at every one but when people look back they only remember the good ones. |
