And then he caps it off with a peach. |

Deserves to be playing in a better side. Oozes class and composure. In a better side he would definitely dominate and drive the team forward. |

Yes mate very true, that would have been a good way to do it. Hopefully it's not caused to much disruption. I appreciate all the advice on this post. It's kind of a nice position to be in and as long as all the boys are enjoying their football that's the main thing. It hasn't affected the team it's just part and part of kids football now. A bit different to when I was a boy😂 |

Thanks mate, understandable if not a little frustrating. However it's all a good lesson for life. |

I know they wanted to come an earlier match to watch him. I didn't have a lot of choice, they guy came over straight after the match while my boy was standing there. All his teammates were telling him he'd had a great game. So he'd worked it out, and to be honest I think I should have told him after the match he'd had. Besides he is probably the most laid back of all the team, not to say he's not disappointed but takes quite a bit in his stride. |

Just wondered if anyone has been in a similar situation. Early November, my son had a match for his U11's Saturday team. I run the team and knew a town scout was coming, but I didn’t tell the boys beforehand. My lad had a bit of a worldy in goal, and the scout came over to talk to me about him. He took his details and said he wanted him to go for a trial. We sent over all the extra details they required straight away, but after about three weeks with no reply, I sent a polite follow-up email because my lad was asking every day if they’d got back to us. An hour later, I got an email from their GK coach saying there were no spaces and that my son would be put on a waiting list. I’m not, and never will be, a pushy parent, but I feel a bit disappointed. My lad has worked so hard to improve, does extra GK training outside of our club, and absolutely loves Ipswich—he’s probably the only fan with Slicker on the back of one of his shirts! 😂 To be honest the confidence boost being recognised gave him was great. The hard bit is he asks everyday if they’ve emailed with an update. I’ve sat him down and explained that sometimes things don’t happen the way we expect or plans change, but it’s tough seeing so him disappointed. Has anyone else had a similar experience? |

I know Liverpool had taken their foot off the gas a little. But Broady and Enciso were so much more positive and aggressive driving forward. Carrying the ball with purpose. Not to mention the corner from Enciso was a much better delivery that we've been used to this season. As expected a difficult match but the last 10-15 minutes showed some positives. We need to go for it be positive and attack the remaining games. COYB |

Very true, without Chappers creativity and enthusiasm to play in that pocket we have looked toothless. Omari and Clarke not driving on if they get the chance. |

And the rest of the team when we so push forward damages every week. No support for him when he has the ball. Bereft of ideas. Not sure how you break down the champions but we have to give it a go McKenna half time.magic and we can get a 4-3 win 😬😂 [Post edited 19 Jan 17:30]

 | Forum Reply | Ukraine War about to escalate? at 16:43 27 Sep 2022
Today my brother in law was required to attend to military recruitment office in Cherkassy Ukraine. He originally went at the beginning of the war. He was placed on the reserve list. With the plan to call further men to join during this and a winter phase. He recently retired as a police officer in Ukraine after beating cancer. It's been a long.7 months watching Ukrainian news and keeping contact as best we can. The reports of torture are horrendous. The depraved actions of the Russian troops are grotesque. I often lurk in TWTD , but just wanted to say thanks to you all for having opinions, openly talking about it and keeping it current. Thanks Paz🇺🇦 [Post edited 27 Sep 2022 17:50]

A friend in Romania just messaged and offered an apartment. Romania are offering free hotels and food. The UK immigration office explained that to get any of them here with us. They have to go to Poland, Romania or Moldova then apply for a 6 month holiday visa as we normally would do when they visit us. They refuse to leave and we respect it. To be honest there's a real urge to go and be with them. Obviously we know this cannot happen. Thanks for all your comments and support. I will update with news. |

I get it. I never thought of Ukraine until I met my wife. Then realised how close it is and what large country it is and yes so many footballing links. Even with town with Baltacha. It's on our doorstep and to be honest so many of us didn't probably realise. There's a very interesting documentary on Netflix "Winter on fire" chronicling the protests at Maidan it shows a very potted history of the past few years and the want to become part of the EU. |

I rarely comment in here. Today having read the support for Ukraine in here makes me more proud to be a town fan. I've been married to a Ukrainian for 15 years we have 3 lovely kids that embrace their dual Ipswich/Ukrainian heritage. It's comforting to know that the major of people don't believe Putin's evil fantasy rationale for this horrific and devastating War. I don't know when I will see my in laws and extended Ukrainian family again. No chance of getting a visa and no chance they will leave. Just spoke to my 73 year old father on law. He couldn't talk for long he was helping make Molotov cocktails!! He warned me soon after I met him that Russia would attack, I just never thought it would be this bad. Ukrainian flags at PR gets an up vote from me Ñлава Україні, Ñлава героÑм COYB |

My wife is originally from Ukraine had been here 20 years. This kind of aggressive tactic from Putin has always been a real threat. We were in Ukraine when the plane was shot down. Speaking with the in laws there it really is worrying, the continued attempts to destabilise everyday life is awful. Schools receiving regular bomb threats, reducing telephone coverage and internet, blocking exports imports at the port in via Crimea and restricting air traffic over Crimea coupled with thousands of troops at the border. This is literally 3 1/2 hours by plane. Not sure what's going to happen. Just hoping to get to the Winchester and hope it all blows over🤷â€â™‚ï¸ |
