Phenomenal performance from Johnny Williams - really feel as though the game would have been lost without him. I'd forgotten what a big win felt like! COYB |

Fantastic result - Wolves may be 17th but they have some very good players in Pennant, Johnson and E Blake; one of the wins of the season in my books. There's a great feeling in the air now, but my New Year's resolution is never to mention the ''play-offs'', because January is a hazardous time for the Town! Keeping DJ would be great but even if he leaves I have faith in MM's ability to sign a similar player to compliment Murphy (who's also playing well). I also like to think that MM will be able to sniff out the footballers from in amongst the has-beens and money-grabbers, unlike certain previous managers. Bring on January. |

Yet another defeat snatched from the jaws of victory; with the 90th minute winner scored by a player Jewell tried and failed to sign in the transfer debacle last season. I must stress that I wasn't at the match tonight but I think that Town have the quality to win plenty of games in this division, yet the results suggest otherwise. Either we don't possess this quality or it's not being put to good enough use by the management of Jewell; and it's the latter who's to blame in my opinion. |

Anyone notice how Jewell made changes at the break today? Very unlike what we usually see; he usually gambles until halfway through the second half before he takes off invariably under-performing JET. I'm wondering if Evans gave him an ultimatum before the game and this sharper approach to substitutions was a last desperate attempt to keep his job? If so, and his sacking is imminent, I can't say I'm not relieved. But please fellow Town fans, if Jewell stays and the bad results continue, don't call for his dismissal during matches. Booing at the final whistle is fair but chanting during the game is intrusive and will only affect the players. Look at the disgraceful example set by Blackburn fans: the poisonous atmosphere at all their games helped them on their way to relegation, in my opinion. Jewell out, but for the good of the club keep the protests away from match-days. |
