Town in Contract Talks With Hyam
at 15:22:34

Glad to see this, he is young enough to have a bright future at the club and can get better. He is a holding midfielder who may improve and certainly has the legs on Douglas. I'd also say that if we had "out and out" attacking full backs, the value of playing 2 holding midfielders would become apparent.

What surprises me is why anyone would say he is better than Skuse right now. I'd be surprised if Skuse wasn't our PotY.

Bru Fit, Bishop Still Undergoing Rehab
at 16:47:27

Bru simply has to play, we had very little creativity in the middle on Friday and struggled to retain possession. IMO, Douglas is a poor man's Skuse. If we keep giving the ball away in midfield against Championship sides we will get hurt, against Man. Utd we will get murdered!

And also, MM, please do not select Larsen Toure. That could just be embarrassing!

Town Closing in On Douglas Signing
at 15:01:44

Quite happy with this signing, albeit we have Skuse, Coke, Hyam, Tabb & Bru who are also vying for the same one (or two spaces) in the team. I assume this means no contract for Ambrose.....I would like to see the beard go though as he reminds me of a cross between Moeen Ali and one of the three musketeers with that chin fluff!

Fortuna Düsseldorf 4-3 Town - Match Report
at 06:10:45

I wasn't at the game and so read the report with interest. Looking at the line ups at the bottom of the match report, I feel Town must have done well to only be 2-1 down at half-time, as they only fielded 10 players........lol

Chesterfield Targeting Taylor
at 13:01:23

Wallingford, do you really think that MM & TC went away on (a well deserved) without identifying, checking & sounding out our targets? Have a bit of faith, this is not MM & TC's first go at management!

Town Trio in Action as Irish U18s Win
at 15:41:19

Thanks Eireannach gorm, I don't dispute the keeper's an U/18, I'm just saying the photo makes him look older, either that or he had a very hard paper round in his younger days.

McGoldrick and Bishop Back But Parr and Bru Doubts
at 14:28:45

Beat me to it PJH - I feel Varney will be in form the start, if as rickw says MM is looking to use the aerial advantage. Would like to see Bishop start, but I can't see it.

I think PJewellisaGod it is MM who needs to realise that Tabb is not an automatic starter, but I know what you mean!

Town Confirm Bajner Signing

Welcome Balint - I hope you're better than the last Hungarian striker we had! Before I get slated, I know Priskin scored a semi-final goal vs. Arsenal but he was not a success at PR.

Town Target Garvan Return
at 14:58:30

Yes please............the lad can pass, can hold the ball and I bet McGoldrick would get even more chances, bearing in mind he's got 15 goals, living off scraps with very few balls threaded into his feet around the opposition penalty area.

The kind of player that would get Paul Taylor noticed as well.........please do it MM!

Richardson: Great Team Spirit at Town
at 10:51:10

michael99 - I hear what you're saying, but if you look at the poll results for MoM on this web-site you will see that Smith has been MoM 6 times. Only McGoldrick has more! Berra has not got 1 (which is harsh IMO). So if Smith is "Mr.Average" but can also be MoM 6 times, surely he will get the nod?

Appreciate that MM will have his own ideas, but it can't be that Tommy will be hooped after next goal conceded, can it?

Town Confirm Chopra Exit
at 11:33:04

BillBlue - I think we can look for the answer to the Sky conundrum a bit closer to home. We have for the past 4-5 seasons been a lower mid-table Championship side (occasionally flirting with the relegation places) scoring a lot less goals than other sides, not really "bums on seats" entertainment. Testament to that is the diminishing crowds at PR in this period and the lack of a 20-goals a season striker, which brings us on to Mr. Chopra, who was supposed to be the answer. I wish him well at Blackpool, but I at least expect him to act with dignity in his departure from our great club, something he didn't always do when he was here.

Swap Deal Complete
at 15:43:37

Good luck to both - it seems that MM is looking for players who are going to get 7/10 every game rather than 9/10 for a game and then 3/10 for the next three. In a 46 game Championship season you can't disagree with that, as it will get you to the play-offs or higher and whichever way you look at it, JET had his chances and didn't take them, at Town, Cardiff or Arsenal. In Mick we trust.

Better make that £624m, Mr.Evans as I believe you have a payment to make to a certain MM.
