I think the overall point is that they’ve been in the premier league for a good number of seasons now and their stadium has a smaller capacity than several league one teams. I don’t think it’s as preposterous as you make out. Edit - Also according to Wikipedia 61 football grounds have been used in Premier League history (including Wembley, and several grounds that are no longer used - like Highbury, white hart lane, Maine Road, Upton Park) and Ipswich are dead middle of that list. We would be above average if you took out all the stadiums that aren’t used any more. So to say we don’t have a premier league capacity doesn’t seem to hold much weight either. That’s the million dollar question, how do you buy 8-10 players costing circa 50 million each for £120 million, answers on a post card. |

As some other posters have said to that if you’re constantly close but no cigar you’re simply not good enough. Tough tough league, this season has been a complete eye opener for me after 20+ years being out of the PL, it’s a completely different beast nowadays. No fault of the players, we just aren’t there yet. |

Opportunities to win have presented themselves and we just can’t take them. Harsh, harsh league. As a newly promoted team you’re fighting on a knife edge with absolutely no margin for errors. |

Ironically we’ve been great at defending set pieces until tonight, it’s scoring from them that hasn’t given us much joy |

Should’ve played O’Shea on the right and Woolf in the middle…Godfrey beaten too easily |

He superb and I wouldn’t want him to be sidelined for any reason but honest question do you not think we’d have more points with a better keeper in the first half of the season? |

Our centre mids are the issue, Axe would still be on the pitch if they weren’t nonexistent |
