Nodge Fan in peace - Lambert Perspective
at 11:44 29 Oct 2018

Cheers for that. I too wish we were both back in the prem. As for Lambert I have no issue with him having managed Norwich it’s in the past and now he’s our manager, for me it’s as simple as that. I think regardless of the outcome this season we have to stick with him, constant changing of the manager will get us nowhere.

To be honest I would be amazed even at this stage if anyone could keep us up. I’m hoping rather than believing at this stage. My big worry is we’ll be too far adrift in January even if, and that’s a big if, Evans gives him any sort of ‘war chest’ let alone a £10m one. I just hope we don’t go down with a whimper but put up a fight. Only time will tell.

The ref tonight, honest thoughts......?
at 08:05 4 Jul 2018

He was weak throughout allowing the Colombians way too much licence to break up the game around every major decision. Barrios should have walked for the headbutt but he also should have had a 2nd yellow in the second half for persistent fouling but the ref bottled it. Henderson was rightly booked in the penalty fracas but again he let the Colombians get away with murder during those 3 minutes.

Yes hard to ref but as others have said if he’d cracked down earlier it may not have been. All in all for me he was shocking.

Rees-Mogg, the member of parliament for 1852, you believe him. That’s really quite funny.

Said that he thought there had been contact between the 2 clubs but knew nothing more than that. Either he has a very good poker face or news we’ve already spoken to him are wide of the mark.

I’ve watched Lincoln 6 times now in the last two seasons
at 15:51 12 May 2018

If that first half is representative of the Cowleys’s style then appointing them would be a backward step from McCarthy as they have even less finesse than we have over the last few years. Horrible to watch.

I Broke The News About David McGoldrick To 7-year-old BBM Jr Over A Video Call..
at 08:53 10 May 2018

My son who’s 8 had already been turning away from our beloved Town due to the fact and I quote “Dad, why are we so rubbish and boring to watch “ and has become mostly a Spurs supporter now after seeing them on TV a few months back. He said he still supported us a bit until I told him yesterday that McGoldrick was leaving and that was the end.

I’ve tried to tell him that this happens all the time and with McCarthy gone we’ll go back to playing decent football again but, alas, he’s not convinced.

I wonder how this result will affect the attendance next week.
at 10:22 30 Jul 2017

My 7 year old who's come to a handful of games over the last 2 seasons wanted to go, when I told him the score from Saturday he said "we're a bit rubbish aren't we, not sure I want to go to the first game now".

As ever interesting, but not surprising reading. One thing that caught my eye was that Phil suggests Milne was against the season ticket price increases but was overruled. If that's the case why bother with an MD if you're going to overrule him on these sorts of issues?

Surely an MD who has day to day running of the club is going to be better informed on what fans want than an owner who has other companies to run and is not at Portman Road (or even in the country) as often?
