Cook is not and never has been the man for the job. Yes he's had success elsewhere but he's never managed a squad of this quality or strength and it is top quality at this level even if a bit of shoring up at the back is still required.He said in an interview just this week, I think, that he still doesn't know what his best team is and I find that mind boggling and very worrying this far into the season. With no disrespect to any of our opponents we should not be surrendering leads to Cambridge Utd or Morecambe or MK Dons et al but it's happening too often. |
