What’s worse is that the assistant ref is that side so should have had a decent view of it yet he doesn’t tell the ref it wasn’t actually a foul let alone a yellow. Surely their job is to assist not rubber stamp and double down on every wrong decision made by the ref! |

I think you’ll find I said it’s undervalued for what he’s now worth and therefore wasn’t spinning anything. I prefer facts to conjecture that is all…and frankly we don’t have them as the club never publicises the cost of deals in or out |
 | Forum Reply | It's a terrible deal.... at 17:08 9 Apr 2025
Didn’t mean to give you an up at all on this. Fat fingers when moving the screen. I disagree it’s “a terrible deal” as only Delap, his agent and MA know what it took to get the deal done. If it’s £8m in our pockets at the end of the day on a £15-20m outlay that’s still a decent percentage mark up but yes probably undervalued for what he’s now worth but as many said, no one thought he’d be this good this quick. At the end of the day we’ll never know as Town never disclose how much we buy or sell at so all these figures are conjecture. |
 | Forum Reply | Is the Football League simply more fun? at 09:37 7 Apr 2025
I wholeheartedly agree. Yes I want us to be in the premier league because of the obvious…money and exposure but I will miss almost nothing about it from a sporting point of view |
 | Forum Reply | McKenna is fuming ! No more Mr Nice guy at 19:16 15 Mar 2025
Frimmers who would you suggest he played that would have given a different outcome? The simple fact is that we have a squad that has come up short at this level which isn’t really a surprise. It was always going to be the toughest of tasks to stay up, even more so given the fact we jumped 2 divisions in 2 seasons giving us little chance to squad build and despite what many say that is factor. We have a squad that is mainly young but has good championship experience and whilst some will go parachute money will mean we can replace those that do but the nucleus of the squad will remain and we should be in the mix to come straight back up. I’m as hacked off as anyone that it’s gone this way but I’m also realistic enough to know that it was always likely we’d take a step back, that’s just part of the course we’re on |
 | Forum Reply | It is our signings that have at 13:58 15 Mar 2025
Muric - worst ever??!! Yes he’s made crucial errors but one assumes you never watched Andy Marshall play in goal for us? Sereni also arguably worse too |
 | Forum Reply | No Delap :( at 09:17 14 Mar 2025
What in heavens name is that squad!!??? 4 keepers, Walker who’ll be 36 by the time next summer comes round, Henderson ffs really? No Gibbs-White, no Watkins which is just baffling and Solanke who is only just back from yet another injury. Surely this camp against these 2 opponents was the perfect opportunity to blood Delap. All in all this squad is a baffling retrograde step and if he’s got it wrong the honeymoon period will be short |

Yeah Charlie Wyett, Sun football editor has suggested we may go in for him. Nothing more concrete than that in his tweet |

I think your final sentence is absolutely the issue. We all know that during the Marcus Evans era every part of the club was run down and that includes our scouting network; I believe the overseas scouts were virtually non-existent by the time Gamechanger took over. These things can’t just be rebuilt overnight and we have undoubtedly been severely hampered by our lack of overseas knowledge. Therefore we’ve shopped in markets we know and brought in players that are mostly young but untested at the highest level. I don’t think any (bar Muric I’m sorry to say) are poor buys or sh@t players but they were always likely to find the step up extremely difficult. Yes, yesterday was a rather painful kick to the testicles and yes I believe we will ultimately go down but I also believe that MA, KM et al were looking beyond this season and I’m sure feel that these players would be well placed to take us straight back up again. No doubt some will call me naive etc etc but I just can’t buy into all the overly dramatic stuff II’ve read on here today about KM being out of his depth, a major clear out needed etc, staying up was always likely to be beyond us but whilst we still have a chance I will not give up and regardless of the outcome I remain optimistic that our great club is in a far healthier position than I thought possible just a few short years ago. Maybe I feel like this because I’ve supported us for 50+ years and seen it all before, the ups and downs. Its called being a supporter |
 | Forum Thread | Henry Winter suggesting Spurs may look to McKenna at 09:51 20 Jan 2025
Just read that he said the following to talkSport “If I was the Ipswich hierarchy I would be slightly worried about Ange’s position”, Winter said on talkSPORT after Spurs’ latest disappointing result.” Now he says a bit more but it’s purely speculation but when Winter says something I tend to give it more credence so do we think McKenna would jump ship if Spurs came calling now or will he remain steadfast is his commitment to us? Personally he’s shown an awful lot of integrity over the summer and think he’ll see the season out at ITFC…but I’ve been known to be wrong! |

Thanks mate. It is these things above all else, results included, that make this club and fanbase so special to us all |

Wasn’t at the game but my Dad, who died in October, is featured on the video. When I saw it this morning left me in floods of tears |

Or they’re 100% certain that they either won’t be punished at all or that it will be an extremely light one. Can’t believe either Haaland or City would commit to something like this if they had any doubt that they’ll essentially be given one more than a slap on the wrists |

 | Forum Thread | Does anyone know when club does the memorial video? at 08:56 18 Dec 2024
My Dad died on 25th October and over the years, worn down by me, became a huge Town fan and I would love to get his name and picture into the video the club does for all those Blues lost in the past year but can’t remember when it’s done or indeed who to contact. Any help much appreciated |

I’ve been wondering where he’s been. Played vs Palace then not in squad for last 2 but unless I’ve missed it KM hasn’t mentioned him by name as injured again |
 | Forum Reply | One thing I didn’t expect in the Premiership at 19:02 29 Sep 2024
Before the season I said to my son the 2 things I was least looking forward to in the Premier League was VAR and the constant falling over and feigning injury at the most innocuous challenges. I’ve continued to watch premier league football during our fallow years and Villa’s conduct in that area today is par for the course especially for the clubs at the top of the league. I genuinely hope we don’t follow the same path as it isn’t how I want to see the game played |
