Have to say I found tonight's game a little frustrating. Accrington we're a poor side which we didn't really take advantage of. For me, although our possession stats are high we spend too much time at the wrong end of the pitch. We never seem to put the opposition under sustained periods of pressure ( look what that can do in the last fifteen minutes of the first half on Saturday). Tonight we didn't move the ball quick enough and a lot of passes went astray. Having said that I thought Luongo was very good again tonight, his pass for Jackson in the build up for the first goal was real quality. We need to be more fired up for Saturday's match. |

It's very sad, but McKenna is adding his name to the list of McCarthy, Lambert and Cook, managers who were incapable of recognising and rectifying their own mistakes. |

Simply not good enough and the same things happen over and over again. Fail to test teams in the first half when they defend deep, gave away another soft goal and then fail to finish the game off when finally got on top in the second half. McKenna needs to find a different way to play these lower in the table sides. Play more balls over the top, play two up front, play with wingers. I don't know what the answer is, but if we carry on like this (and this now stretches back to the beginning of October) we will playing division 1 football again next season I'm afraid. |

What an utterly awful half of football from supposedly the best squad in the Division. The majority of teams are now finding out how easy it is to play against us. |

In the three games played so far Ipswich have had 56 chances 21 of which were on target. Only three goals have been scored. Our opponents have had just 16 chances with 7 on target, but have also managed to score three goals. Not good enough to win a cup game and I suspect if same ratios continue, not good enough to exit Division 1 |

I assume Mr Lambert pours over loads of statistics when reviewing performances. Here's one that might interest him from last season. Jackson and Norwood as a two up front pairing started 18 matches We won 9 drew 7 lost 2 scoring 31 goals and conceding 14. In the remaining games (when only one or neither of them started) we won 5 drew 3 and lost 10 scoring 15 and conceding 22. I know we haven't had the luxury of them both being fit to play at the same time this season, but I still think it suggests that we play better with two strikers up front. |
