I’m not sure he’s the better personally but as others have said Hirst suits us better
One thing Delap could do and it’s no hidden secret is bring others into the team and not try to barge his way through defenders. Delap looked very industrial today where as Hirst looked to have the brains
Goes without saying and should’ve happened better than it had start of this season - the midfield is a massive problem for us. Was in the promotional season IMHO. We suffocated other teams with shapes and patterns of play but once we lost the ball we always looked likely to conceded. No different to this season , concede possession and we conceded a goal.
Athleticism and physicality in the middle this season is a huge requirement from me anyway
In addition and depending on “outs” , Leif to get his head space back and be allowed to from the fan base in terms of confidence and get back to what he’s good at , a striker when and if Delap goes and I still think a keeper is required. As much as my thoughts go with Muric being competent at Champ level we really can;t afford to catch a cold again. We need to start the season hitting the ground running if we’re to go up automatically.
Confidence is going to be huge next season and we’re lacking it right now , start well and were back to the same feelings we ALL had the previous TWO seasons
Loyal fanbase Parachute payments Ownership group McKenna Base of a really good solid champ squad More games Perhaps choice of best loanee prem players KMcK’s style off football suiting the Champ This season’s experience to fall back on Training ground rebuild
The list is endless and far more than I can think about right now with this hangover
I’m gutted about this season but f**k it let’s get back on the horse and do it all again !
Biggest plus for me is that it gives me approx 8-10 more occasions where I can watch football as opposed having to strike up conversations with Mrs Hacker
I’ll head to the man cave watch the games and mess around with the guitars at the same time whilst she watches her own crap
If Broady could string Tuesday / Saturday together for a lot of the season I’d suggest you’re on the right track but as we all know he’s tended to have injury issues throughout his time here and before
As much as I admire both Broady and Chappers we can’t use this season’s purchases to value players how have been here for a couple of seasons - doesn’t work that way does it ?
If Chappers can have the consistency required in the Champ and Broady play more regularly I think they might hold some value but using past experience I don’t think we could accrue £12m for them combined sorry
