Ahh yes of course. Unfortunately I remember that game very well and still get reminded of it here now. It's just a shame the next manager won't inherit a squad remotely as good as what Burley left behind. |

I'm from Grimsby and went to watch Grimsby v Colchester midweek and I was impressed with the style of play McGreal's got them playing down there. I know they lost 1-0 but they could've quite easily won the game and he had them playing good pass and move football, similar to the way we used to play with Burley. I'd get behind him if given the job. |

As a man from Grimsby myself, could you explain what Hurst's "Grimsby" night means? I can confirm that he wasn't (and still isn't) held in very high regard here. He had one of the largest budgets outside the football league and took 6 seasons to get us promoted. Could've and probably should've been sacked long before the promotion season. Fans even wanted him sacked after the first leg defeat at home to Braintree in the play offs that season too. |

The boy is 18 years old! Give him a chance to settle and find his feet. I'd prefer to see us languishing in mid table with 3 or 4 home grown players than with Douglas, Coke etc any day! |
