I live in Bournemouth, and have seen four games so far this season. Apart from visiting home to see the folks, I tend to go to the Watford, QPR and Reading away games. I used to like going to St Mary's, but that ain't on the cards any more (except that damn cup game last year - Edwards, what a transformation from then, all he could do was pass the ball back to Rosenior...)

Bruce and Leicester Lose
at 11:41:36

Harsh comments for a player who gave us a lot of effort.

Not quite up to the grade, and I think he suffers from being a bit too short to be a CB, and a bit too slow to be a FB. He should find a championship club somewhere though.

Good luck Brucey.

Give the man some respect, he's earned it in the game. You can say you'd prefer him gone if you like, but let's not be abusive.

Counago for manager.

We wouldn't stick it up them, but we'd have the tricks and know when to hit the turf.

Keane: First Goal Crucial
at 11:26:13

I've backed Keane all season but am starting to get a bit concerned by the progress.

The players look tight, and it takes a special leader to get them through this sort of thing.

Keane himself says he needs to learn lessons, but I'm wondering if he has the character to do this. He only seems to empathise with players like himself, and there are no players like him around.

I'll back him to the end of the season, but a good review needs to happen over the summer, another season like this won't be good enough.

Keane: Wages Big Issue on Murphy Move
at 20:22:04

For me Out - Lisbie, R Wright (good player but too expensive), Martin, Healy (unless he bags 6ish to end of season), Trotter, Bruce, Priskin, C Healy (basically a Cork money bailout), Upson, and Lambe if he doesnt break through.

In - D Murphy on a C'ship wage, Colback (unlikely but please), Stead back.

Balls, Plymouth just scored.

Keane Set to Ring Changes for Barnsley Clash
at 14:44:12

Main problems for me are:

(a) Ruling by fear seems now to be the norm, players will never relax and perform. This is borne out by never going more than one up (bar Cardiff)
(b) Where's the passing gone? We played it out from the back once at Watford and I remember thinking "ah a passing move". It's the Ipswich way, but not Roy's so far. Why fight through three players when you can pass around them.
(c) Walters is well off the boil. Possibly a time to think about the captaincy as it seems to have damaged his game. Maybe a bit of bench time. McAuley is better off without the armband, maybe Jon too? A fine player but so much is untidy and bolshy about his games at the moment. He spent half of the Watford game just shoving their left back.
(d) Decide the best team and stick with it! Robson did this and it worked for him. You win a game, same team same subs. You lose a game, make a change if you want but think about giving them a chance to redeem themselves. You'll soon see who's up for it.

Keane: I Learnt a Lot at Watford
at 09:57:26

Pablo on a good run looks after the ball until he sees a through ball and then is one of the best we have at threading it through - remember his assists for Haynes brace against Norwich?

Keane Angry After Defeat
at 12:55:33

David Wright should have kept his place. We used to say "Don't mess with the defence" if it was working for our non-league side and it holds true in pro football.

Saying that, Rosenior started shockingly and created their first goal, but in the second half most of our attacking momentum came from him down the right. I would never have subbed in Martin for Garvan but the lad was covering the whole pitch trying to make an impression and got a couple of crosses in.

My team would have been:

Counago Walters
Colback Garvan Leadbitty Norris
O'Connr Delaney McCaul D Wright
Murphy

Chuck on a recovering Murphy and Healy at the end. 2-0 Town

Keane Angry After Defeat
at 01:27:11

I was there with my enthusiasm and big coat and looking forward to ending our Watford hoodoo after two wins.

I was surprised at the changes - putting two big lads up against their barn-door centrebacks was fighting fire with slightly smaller fire, should have kept with Pablo to draw the free kicks and thread balls through.

What really upset me though was the humiliating hauling off of Garvan - (a) this will ride a coach and horses through the confidence of our only playmaker and (b) the immediate effect on the team was obvious, they froze with fear for the rest of the first half.

I don't want Keane out, but he must learn more strings to his bow than just terrorising players, or we'll never unlock, relax and beat teams in the way we all know we can.

I'd go with Tommy, but Pim's day will come - he's a bit too cavalier Bramble/Thetis for me at the moment, my heart can't take it.

Keane: We\'ve Given Murphy a New Lease of Life
at 12:38:39

I agree I think Garvan should keep his place, but Keane has his favourites and the amount he's talked up Norris I can't see him being dropped.

I think most Town fans can see that Garvan is the closest player we've had to a playmaker since Magic Jim hung up his boots. There's no need to fight through four players if a beautiful pass can do the job.
