Slicker is truly having a nightmare (n/t)
at 03:34 7 Jun 2025

He’s a lovely bloke and I really hope he succeeds here but having stood and chatted to him a few times he is no more than 6 foot, I’m 5’10” (and a half) and also in the GK union and he felt barely above me.

Wardley Ticket Refunds
at 16:15 27 May 2025

These are the paragraphs which they sent me. There is absolutely nothing which says they can change the lineup, only the date and time of the event (para 10).

10. The date and time of the Event (and opening of the Stadium) are subject to change by the Promoter in its sole discretion. ITFC will inform Ticket Buyers of any date and/or time changes (including changes to the opening of the Stadium or Event) via the email provided at the time of purchase and Ticket Purchasers are responsible for monitoring their emails for such information. ITFC would also advise you to visit the Stadium website for confirmation of such details.

11. If the Event is cancelled in full and not rescheduled, or if the Event is relocated, closed to public attendance, or subject to capacity limitations requiring the cancellation of your Tickets, you will be provided a refund of the face value of your Ticket and any applicable booking/administration fee charged to you by ITFC in connection with your Ticket Purchase. If instructed by us to do so, you must return your unused ticket in order to receive any refund. Refunds will be processed using the same means of payment you used to purchase your Tickets. Your sole and exclusive remedy if the Event is cancelled and not rescheduled, or if the Event is relocated, closed to public attendance, or made subject capacity limitations resulting in your ticket being cancelled is a refund of the face value of your Tickets and any applicable booking / administration fee charged to you by ITFC in connection with your Ticket purchase and in none of the foregoing circumstances shall you be entitled to any other remedy (including, without limitation, damages for costs associated with travel, accommodations or other arrangements made by you in connection with the Event).

12. Without limiting the foregoing paragraphs 10 and 11, ITFC reserves the right to cancel your order at any time (even after the order has been accepted) in its absolute discretion for any reason and refund the face value of your Tickets and any applicable booking/administration fee charged to you by ITFC in connection with your Ticket Purchase. ITFC shall have no further liability to you in connection with the cancellation of your Ticket purchase pursuant to this paragraph 12.

13. ITFC's liability if (i) admission to the Event and/or Stadium is refused or withdrawn, (ii) the Event is rescheduled, cancelled and not replayed/rescheduled, relocated, closed to public attendance, or made subject to capacity limitations resulting in Ticket cancellations, or (iii) for any breach of these Terms and Conditions, any other applicable rules, or any other term of your Tickets, shall not exceed the face value of the Ticket and any applicable booking/administration fee charged to you by ITFC in connection with your Ticket purchase. Without limiting the foregoing, in no event shall ITFC be liable for any special, consequential, incidental, indirect or exemplary damages of any kind, including, without limitation, loss of enjoyment, or for any amount paid in excess of face value to a third party for your Ticket, or for any travel or accommodation costs and other personal arrangements and expenditures. All travel, accommodation, and other personal arrangements and expenditures are arranged at your own risk. ITFC will not be responsible or liable for any such arrangements or expenditures which may be wasted or unrecoverable, even if arising as a result of the Event being rescheduled, cancelled, relocated, closed to public attendance, or made subject to capacity limitations resulting in Ticket cancellations.

14. Except as expressly set forth in paragraph 10 and 11 above, your purchase of any Tickets is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Wardley Ticket Refunds
at 15:22 27 May 2025

I've just called the Club to try and get a refund on some tickets I've bought for the Fabio Wardley fight for family members who aren't interested in going any more (partly due to the change of opponent) and the club have said they are only acting as agents for the promoters and the promoters won't issue any refunds at all.

Has anyone else had the same response? They referred me to a section in the T&Cs but that doesn't deal with a change of opponent at all.

Away supporter record of my son...
at 12:21 4 Mar 2025

I went to 33 away games over 23 years without seeing a single away win.

Kieran even referenced me in a pre match press conference, but luckily I saw us win at MK Dons in League One and many wins after that.

What's the strategy with our Academy?
at 09:41 29 Jan 2025

There is really significant investment going in to the academy from an infrastructure point of view, the new training ground works (and the immediate temporary works) will pave the way for that sooner rather than later.

It is likely to be quite a long time before we are producing players that can make it in the premier league.

First you need to get the infrastructure built and the staffing in place, then the scouting network needs to expand , then you need to be bringing the right boys in at 6,7 & 8 to feed them through the system. The full impact of that isn't likely to be apparent for another 10 years or so.

Is Cat 1 academy something we are aiming for this season?
at 15:46 19 Dec 2024

Looking at the likely phasing of the training ground works I would have thought it unlikely the infrastructure (if that is a requirement) will be difficult to have in place before 2026, likely the start of the 2026-2027 season.

It’s East Suffolk, the application hasn’t been validated so isn’t on the website yet.

Something along the lines of the Southampton one perhaps

Or the Chelsea one

It's not online yet, probably will be in the next few days. It will no doubt do the job but it's not the most inspiring looking building.

When you compare it to to other premier league clubs it will likely be in the bottom 6 or so facilities.

Rating our new signings/loanees after thre first three months.

I would say that’s a pretty fair assessment so far, albeit I think the lower scorers in there I fully expect to improve as the season goes on, particularly Cajuste.

Current state of things for international break

Harry Clarke will be delighted with his England call up. Also as impressive as Morsy is being simulataneously at home and away is a good trick!

How does our line up keep getting leaked?

I think this is the case at the moment. Earlier in the season it was a youth coach.

Brentford sold out at 10:02
at 10:05 1 Oct 2024

Luckily got a ticket at 10:01 but they'd all gone by 10:02, there will be a lot of people who were planning to go to every away game that would have missed out there.

Yes, covered in scaffolding still but I am assuming that will be dropped by tomorrow.

Ground improvements
at 15:37 20 Sep 2024

I was down there on Monday, the TV studio is coming along, I imagine they would be looking to drop the scaffolding before Villa on the 29th but not sure it will actually be finished by then. The exec boxes look a way off.

They'd also put new floodlight clusters on the front of Sir Alf and were fitting floodlights underneath the roof of the west stand where they've never been before which was interesting.

Training ground redevelopment
at 11:16 12 Sep 2024

They haven't applied for planning permission yet (last update suggested an application would be made in August) so I doubt any work will take place this year.

There is still a lot of work happening at Portman Road, the exec boxes are progressing but there is also loads of scaffolding up in different parts in side the stadium, including around the TV box over the tunnel, which structually looks about half way complete.

I suspect all of the work to get PL ready at the ground and not to mention recruitment has meant that timescales may have slipped.

Christian Walton new deal
at 08:15 10 Sep 2024

That wasn’t quite the version I heard from a source, their side of things suggested that Hladky’s agent had got in his ear and he was asking for too much money, in fact more money than Morsy was on.

That away end is infuriating.
at 09:43 29 Aug 2024

I was in one of the corners and there were quite a lot of empty seats near me but I did wonder to what extent that was an illusion and people were simply bunching up in the middle and to the back to get a better view.
