| News Comment | Ipswich Town 3-2 Swansea City - Match Report at 10:15:10
The bottom line is that we cannot keep giving two goals way regularly and get away with it. Whoever the manager selects we will need to find a formula and personnel that tightens us up. I’m certain the manager knows this and will find a way either with this group of defenders or with recruitment in January. Hopefully he can do that without nullifying our attacking threat too much! |
| News Comment | Humphreys: Promotion the Perfect Way to End My First Season at 08:32:55
Easy to underestimate his contribution to our promotion. He plugged the gap admirably whilst most of our senior midfield players were injured. He's going to develop into a seriously good player if he keeps his head down and keeps progressing. Well done. |
| News Comment | Lincoln City 1-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 18:37:36
Do come on, most of us would have taken this position at the start of the season! Wouldn't we? Be honest! A long way to go and with quality investment in this window we'll get there. For those of you with short memories think back to the dross football with MM in charge. KMc has been in charge for a year, he'll evolve this team as he has already. Keep the faith, it's a marathon not a sprint. |
| News Comment | Evans Closing in On Return at 14:15:21
Excellent news, with him in the side Morsy can push up and drive us forward like earlier in the season in the knowledge that Evans is covering. Cam Humphrey's has done a fantastic job and will have benefited massively from the experience. |
| News Comment | Penney Joins Motherwell on Loan at 18:50:19
A decent little player and we wish him well. It's clear that recruitment this year has taken this squad to another level. Squad tidying gaining pace in readiness for some additional quality incoming! |
| News Comment | Evans: Straight Off the Training Ground at 12:45:33
The continuous nagging of our own players on here is tedious and with so much to look forward to with this group unwarranted and unnecessary. Some of you might not be old enough to remember the dross served up by MM under Evans in front of barely 11000 fans sometimes. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but get behind this lot please, it's our best opportunity for donkeys years! |
| News Comment | Work Permit Scuppered Celina Stoke Move at 13:23:18
Interesting! Might be why we are holding firm on our proposed offer? If we're the only club in the country that can actually get him a work permit it does help with the negotiation somewhat. If he goes abroad at least nobody else gets the benefit. This could run and run for a bit I reckon. |
| News Comment | Jackson: I've Loved Every Day Under the Boss at 19:52:48
I think this is excellent. KJ is the catalyst that stops teams stepping up. His pace scares them and they are nowhere near as adventurous and dare not leave the space in behind for him to exploit. His energy and pace means he's closing down defenders continuously and they hate it. He might not always deliver the final ball or be an amazing finisher but he brings so much more to the team. Pace, pace pace! I hope he tears it up. |
| News Comment | Ashton in US For Planning Meetings at 18:22:35
Cressi, yes filbert street replay on the Thursday night having played out a draw on Tuesday! Beat wasn't fit and came in alongside Hunter who told Alan Clarke that if he touched Wark he'd break his leg apparently. What a game, won 3-2 and was behind Clive Woods when he bent one into the top corner! Happy days! |
| News Comment | Town Closing in On Walton Signing at 12:23:14
Will be good work if this comes off. I'm equally interested in seeing who is departing in this window to balance the books! |
| News Comment | Nsiala Linked With Fleetwood Loan at 08:06:30
Good physical attributes and a decent attitude, however if you can't pass the ball with this manager I don't think you fit in and play. Good luck to him wherever he ends up. |
| News Comment | Gilmartin Keeper-Coach With One More Set to Join Backroom Team at 11:21:01
Exciting appointment, I'd quite like to see an ‘older' head as the next coaching addition to give a little balance to the decision making team. However clearly this needs to very much his choice. Time must be given, I'm looking forward to seeing how he does. |
