Satellite/Aerial tv help.
at 20:43 7 Nov 2023

Generally if you have two cables together is was usually where a sky installation previous was where you could watch one programme and record another as both cables went into one box. If you have an old satellite box you could hook it up and do a blind scan to see what comes up. You can get freesat boxes from Argos that pre programme your channels according to post code or you can get a cheap box for £17 and programme the channels in yourself.

Do the wires have “aerial” connectors where they are push in, or do they have “f” connectors what they screw in? 9 times out of 10 the screw on f connector is mainly for satellite in Europe - if you are in the US/Caribbean it’s the default… .

When did people stop saying 'colour'
at 09:53 18 Aug 2023

The only time I have heard the term colourway is when talking about trainers. You see a pair of Nike Air VMs in pink and green and that “colourway” is nice.

But not heard it in general talk..

Where did you hear it and what was the conversation about?

Spanking a team 6-0 and youve just scored the 7th...
"Nil-Nil boys... from the off..."

"Box 'em in.."
when the opposite team has a throw on...

"Every week ref..."
when you have received your first foul in the game...

"All day, that's a penalty"

"Goals win games boys..."

"Stop them from scoring and you'll get something out of this game..."

"Stay tight on the big fella up top..."

Ethernet/Internet help
at 23:11 5 Feb 2023

You could look into Powerline adaptors. They can send signals through the electric outlets in your home. Only down fall is that the destination appliance must take an Ethernet cable so if you plan to use your WiFi, it’s redundant… but for Ethernet, it’s the way to go.
