| News Comment | Moore Close to Hull Move at 14:59:21
One of the best around at Championship level. Without him last season we we wouldn't have made it. Just look at the results in the 10 games prior to him joining compared to the 10 after. Having said that, not mobile enough for Premier League where a lot of the time we will be playing without the ball and needing the striker to chase it down and feed off scraps. Hirst and Delap both possess this skillset and are probably better at bringing our 10s and wingers into play. Wish KM all the best and thank him for the memories. |

One hell of a lot of you who are moaning and saying to move on etc will absolutely have to get used to the idea that this is the way some transfers will be conducted from now on. The transfer market is increasingly complex, and negotiating transfers for in-demand players carries numerous complications. I.E. transfer fees, add ons, players wages, agents wages, financial fair play regulations, buy back clauses etc. The days of us completing easy transfers under the radar are gone in most cases, especially when targeting players that other clubs are targeting. Even the Delap deal which seems to have hopefully been concluded quickly..... I bet we have been talking to his people for ages, and he has still been touted around visiting other clubs etc with Southampton reportedly agreeing the same deal with City... Just go with it people. We are operating in an entirely new transfer market to which we have shopped before. Don't panic. |
| News Comment | McKenna: No New Absentees Other Than Suspended Duo at 15:53:46
Shame Massimo is out as he really played like he meant business in the last two games after being restored to the side. I still have no idea how we managed to pick him and Morsy up for peanuts in League One. But in his absence I'm very happy with Taylor coming in. Big and fast with a good passing range and undoubted goal threat, you can see why McK chased him for so long. |

Wolfenden not up to representing us on the pitch as a good player? My lord you need to see a doctor. We have lost 5 out of our last 62 league games with Wolfenden very much a main stay in our back line. |
| News Comment | McKenna: Chambers a Very Important Captain and Leader in the Club's History at 21:47:44
Henryblue, incredible to suggest a prime Chambers wouldn’t walk into our current team. A bloke whose played 800 odd games, mostly as captain in championship teams for Us and Forest. A guy who was a must pick and clearly rated by every single one of his managers over a long career. Ended on a sour note with us of course due to that idiot Lambert who played him at right back at 36 when we had better (JD) inexplicably out on loan. But prime Chambo out of position at RB still got us comfortably in the play offs and never looked out of place. if Evans hadn’t sold our strikers at key moments or invested when necessary he probably would’ve got in there a couple more times and wouldn’t have had to suffer the vitriol that he did in his later years |
| News Comment | Colchester Release Seven Former Blues at 22:28:19
The disrespect shown above is actually laughable. Fair enough aimed at Sears, Huws, Judge but Skuse and Chambers were extremely solid and dependable championship players for the vast majority of their careers and predominantly at Town. They seem to have got the blame for Evans useless regime and terrible managers toward the end of their Town careers (I.e. Lambert playing a 37 year old Chambers at full back all season and loaning Donacien out) but do not forget they led the team with distinction for many years. Skuse In his prime next to a Morsy or Luongo would absolutely piss League one and would probably make a formidable partnership at championship level. Fed up of town fans blaming solely those two for our demise |

We have no plan B and never ever revert to two up front. The last three managers have all refused to do it, even occasionally. We need to do something different and confuse opponents and I would start on Tuesday. Hladky Clarke, Wolf, Burgess, Leigh Burns, Evans, Humph, Davis Hirst. Broadhead 442 Two strikers up front Burns and Davis allowed to get forward and attack with Clarke and Leigh overlapping. Drop Morsy, good player but looks tired to me and not contributing enough either defensively or offensively. Walton been shocking lately and at fault for not coming to claim the ball in the build up to their second goal when it went right across the middle of his 6 yard box. |
| News Comment | Burns: Bale's the Greatest British Player of All Time at 11:48:43
Charlton and Best are the only players who could argue to be better than Bale. Gazza, Mark Hughes and Giggs haha, Some of you make me laugh. Bale in his prime played football at a level very few players have ever reached |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-1 Colchester United - Match Report at 10:09:08
Colchester have shown other sides the blue print to play against us. Sit deep and pack the box. We will struggle all season long when we don't score the first goal as we did last year. We played two speed merchants last night against a team who sit so deep that there is no space to run in behind. Burns and Leigh are others who if they are to be effective, need space to run in to. Other teams already cottoned on to this at the back end of last year and started to mark Burns out of it. Chambers and Eastman had the easiest game of their lives yesterday as everything was in front of them. We need two strikers in the box causing trouble and dangerous balls in if we want to win games from behind. (A la Wigan and Rotherham last year who both had two up top and could force goals when needed) If I ever turn up to PR and see Jackson on his own up front again, I will turn around and go home. Absolute waste of time proven on multiple occasions under 3 different managers. |
