Josh Brownhill - Burnley….
at 09:20 15 Jun 2025

Not sure how we can offer more than Burnley (unless they are just choosing not to pay a certain amount).

But also don't see any way he chooses to join us over one of Everton, West Ham, Wolves etc and probably 2-3 more that would take him on a free in the prem.

Would be an excellent signing on a free.

Swansea, didn't see that one coming!

All the best to Cam. Never let us down and some brilliant memories like at Cov. Bit disappointed at that move for him. Feels weirdly les alike we are losing out given he's going there.

We move on. Hopefully we can keep O'shea and Greaves together and build on that. Be good to keep Woolf as well. Don't want a re-build in defence. Be interesting to see if we give Baggott a pathway now with this and he becomes cover.

What a funny thing to say. Did this sound like a good comparison when you wrote it? 😂

Emmental Cheese

On an omelette? Mate it goes in the Omelette! I mean sure you might add a quick sprinkle on top but it's inside it really!

Feel like you need to go on a course! Jealous though. You get to experience all the cheeses brand new. Exciting times

Got to say this is completely on you. Emmental isn't a pasta topping cheese. It's a sandwich cheese. It's a really mild very slightly nutty cheese. Good Emmental, a quality German ham, tomato, mustard and Mayo. Absolutely class. Somehow even better up high in the mountains!!

You wouldn't blame Brie if you decided that was the cheese to put on your pizza!

0 losses as a premier league manager. Strong numbers by anyone's estimation!

Please can someone explain too me using very simple words
at 16:51 13 Jun 2025

I don't know the figures (to get that out the way) but only the last 3 years would be relevant wouldn't they? Perhaps he was referring to that as it's a rolling 3 years for PSR?

If they are still high for Man City then fair enough.

Impossible to know really but we've made a decision which is probably the right thing for everyone. At 21 if he's not going to be in and around the first team squad then it's right for all parties really. He isn't going to playing the football to develop for us or develop for him.

Brentford are a really well run club so you kind of expect their decisions to be good.

This though actually has all the hallmarks of a bat s#@t mental appointment. However I don't underestimate them. I think the bigger thing is Claus Norgaard staying on as well. He almost has the better CV to be the manager. As a pairing it could work.

Hell of brave decision though.

On a positive note....

If McKenna does go to Brentford it will be the first time since Sir Bobby that a manager has left because they are good (and poached) rather than because they got the sack or had to resign.

Nice to end that run! 😁

Ipswich first for me.

Would love a World Cup of course!

As I've got older feel like Ive lost a bit of the international tournament buzz. Tend to get into it a bit as we go but not like in your teens and twenties. That's peak World Cup/Euros fever. Much more interested in club footie now.

Kone to join on loan apparently
at 19:19 8 Jun 2025

If West Ham bought Kone for £12 million I'd file that under one of the worst bits of transfer business in English history. A 3rd of that would be a steep price. I genuinely believe he's at a similar level to Al-Hamadi. If anything he's less proven. £1-1.5 mil would be about right. Wycombe will be looking for more but I think they will probably take somewhere in the region of £3-4 mil. I wouldn't want us to touch him for that. Whenever I've watched him 6-7 times I've got to say he looks underwhelming. He's no slouch but I don't think he's that quick. Reasonably powerful in L1 but average on that level for the champ.

He's got something and he's got a chance to step up. I don't see him setting the champ alive though.

Reasons why McKenna shouldn’t go to Brentford
at 15:27 8 Jun 2025

In all seriousness I would struggle to get excited to join Brentford with their new 17,500 seater stadium going from Portman road and fans and history we have. No disrespect to Brantford who have become a really good club and done exceptionally well to stabilise as a Prem club but just can't see them staying a Prem club for years. They don't have the size or fanbase.

We're a bigger club with a big following and I'd hope he would back himself to take us ahead of Brentford.

Wouldn't blame him if he goes though. Right now in pure football squad terms they are ahead.

Huni's count
at 10:11 8 Jun 2025

So many people banging on about 10 seconds. The referee doesn't HAVE to get to 10. If the fighter is seriously hurt it's his job not to send him off to be out in a coma. Ref got this bang on. Huni was dominating that fight but he didn't know where he was. Wardley would have put him in hospital if he'd been sent back out.

Referee has done his job and saved Huni from serious injury. This is how refs should be doing it. The sport can't be like the 80/90s. It's dangerous enough.

Zero complaints from Huni or his camp. Huni is clapping at the end and has his health to go again.

Note after the ref stops it Huni actually pats the ref in acknowledgment. If Huni knew one thing by that point he couldn't fight on.

Ref has a duty of care. He can't let him fight on if his legs/eyes have gone as he risks serious injury. Effectively if he can't defend himself he can't carry on. He was gone.

£300+ to get soaked….
at 17:06 7 Jun 2025

Do you know this for a fact. He's from Ipswich, he certainly been supporting them as a minimum for a number of years (supposedly lifelong but I don't know that and frankly I don't need to. It's not about how die hard he is. He's and Ipswich boy, he wears the crest on his shorts and is quite literally supporting the club and putting money in the clubs account. So what if the club are lifting him up as well. That's a good thing. That's what a community football club does.

I'll say it again. Stop looking for negatives. See the positives and enjoy. Worst case just don't watch/go. That really is all there is it it

£300+ to get soaked….
at 16:10 7 Jun 2025

This is a depressingly negative thread FFS! The club do something different and put on a really good event. I can't understand the mindset of winging about it. Just don't go!!!!! Just don't go! Wow.

This makes no difference to your life other than putting some money in your clubs account (which is good no?). If you like boxing it's a great night out.

Further down we have people questioning if he's a town fan. Yes he is. Completely baffled why anyone is trying to FIND negatives and fault. Cheer up. Stop moaning.
