It is normal for players not to play in Omari’s situation. The club will obviously sell at some price. If Omari plays and get injured and can’t play for a couple of months it may have cost the club £40 million that is an expensive friendly game. It is not be in the club’s interest to play him in this situation. |

Yes we spent a lot of money but our squad is still one of if not the weakest in the league. £20 million buys you Flynn Downes! Every premier league team other the 3 at the bottom have had years to prepare and build a team, event Saints and Leicester have loads of premier league experience.The only way a championship team stays up now is if an established team has a really bad season. I have enjoyed this season for what it is. It has been so much better than all those seasons when nothing ever happened. Going out of both cups early, just about surviving in the championship year after year not beating Norwich, watching pretty bad players trying to grind out a result week after week (Douglas really!). If we go down or stay up next season is still likely to be one of the better ones in this century so far.

I have no problem with the current scheme. I have been going to about 10 home games a season for the last 30 years. If 6000 were in the queue some of those would be after more than 1 seat via friends and family so let’s say 12,500 wanted tickets including those in last week’s ballot. 5,000 tickets were available therefore I have a 1 in 2.5 chance of getting a ticket. So if I am averagely lucky I will get 7-8 league tickets a year plus cup games plus the occasional away game. I actually think I will attend more league home games as not all games will be as popular as the first game of the season Vs Liverpool. So unless you attended so 13-17 league games a season last year you have no reason to be annoyed unless you think you should be entitled to attend more games in the premier league than lower leagues. Anyway I would rather attend 5 games in a McKenna season than have a season ticket for some of our previous seasons! |

I really don't get this. If Evan really did lose £60 million from his ownership of Ipswich why would he risk doing the same again with Huddersfield? Only Marcus will know how much he really lost but I reckon it was a lot less. It will be interesting to see if he is as tight with his investment this time. I think, like with us, he might have a try at promotion but if this does not work try to repackage it and sell it on to new investors. |

Mick opened the door to the abuse he got by swearing at fans and swearing and disrespecting fans in his interviews. I hated the abuse he got but I hated more him decription of fans after the Newcastle game. It was just so wrong and inappropriate when I consider the lovely people I sit with. I have no doubt he was a good manager and the staff at the club liked him but he is not suited to the media age. I am glad to see him go even if this means we will struggle next season. I just hope the club can recover from the divide he created between fans and club. Klug is right fixing this is the most important thing right now. |

Overwhelming feeling of relief that he is going now. Not sure what the future holds but at least it will be different from the same style of play, resentments from fans and arrogance from Mick. Just hoping ME isn't as indifferent about his football club as he seems. Let's get a young hungry manager in who wants to play attractive football and get behind him and the team. Mick is an honest chap doing his best in terrible circumstances. There is a reason most people in football say good things about him. The fault is Marcus Evans'. He refuses to put in as much as the majority of owners in the division yet charges amoung the highest prices. He will not sell the club unless he receives a masssive offer. Most of our players would not get in a top half team in this division. Some of them would not get in any team in the division. I will be very interested to see what happens in the next couple of weeks. A football club without hope is dead and we are on life support. |

My children did fly the flag last season against Birmingham. Mick had a lot on him mind that day also. It made their day that on the way past he looked them in the eye and said all right kids. That is how he works and I think the players and staff are genuinely behind him. Would I like to see better football yes I would does he annoy me with his disrespect of Ipswich fans, yes he does, but what if he is the only guy who is keeping the club together? |

I think Mick's greatest strength is his man management to keep a squad together in difficult circumstances. Chambers admired him. As someone said on here a few weeks ago Mick is a problem Marcus is the problem. He views the club as a spreadsheet. I do not want to watch 2 more years of Micks football particularly as it will be accompanied by snarly comments and abuse. However I do recognise that he does get the maximum results from his squad. When players leave here they generally go to lower divisions or drop out of the game. When we get permanent players in they come from lower divisions or have been out of the game. I will absolutely understand if we lose another 2,000 season tickets this year but It seems unfair that Marcus can hid behind while sending Mick out to take the flack for the situation which is his creation. |
