I really don't get this. If Evan really did lose £60 million from his ownership of Ipswich why would he risk doing the same again with Huddersfield? Only Marcus will know how much he really lost but I reckon it was a lot less. It will be interesting to see if he is as tight with his investment this time. I think, like with us, he might have a try at promotion but if this does not work try to repackage it and sell it on to new investors. |

Mick opened the door to the abuse he got by swearing at fans and swearing and disrespecting fans in his interviews. I hated the abuse he got but I hated more him decription of fans after the Newcastle game. It was just so wrong and inappropriate when I consider the lovely people I sit with. I have no doubt he was a good manager and the staff at the club liked him but he is not suited to the media age. I am glad to see him go even if this means we will struggle next season. I just hope the club can recover from the divide he created between fans and club. Klug is right fixing this is the most important thing right now. |

Overwhelming feeling of relief that he is going now. Not sure what the future holds but at least it will be different from the same style of play, resentments from fans and arrogance from Mick. Just hoping ME isn't as indifferent about his football club as he seems. Let's get a young hungry manager in who wants to play attractive football and get behind him and the team. I'd be happy with Cowley, Mogga or Paul Hurst from Shrewsbury. |

Mick is an honest chap doing his best in terrible circumstances. There is a reason most people in football say good things about him. The fault is Marcus Evans'. He refuses to put in as much as the majority of owners in the division yet charges amoung the highest prices. He will not sell the club unless he receives a masssive offer. Most of our players would not get in a top half team in this division. Some of them would not get in any team in the division. I will be very interested to see what happens in the next couple of weeks. A football club without hope is dead and we are on life support. |

My children did fly the flag last season against Birmingham. Mick had a lot on him mind that day also. It made their day that on the way past he looked them in the eye and said all right kids. That is how he works and I think the players and staff are genuinely behind him. Would I like to see better football yes I would does he annoy me with his disrespect of Ipswich fans, yes he does, but what if he is the only guy who is keeping the club together? |

I think Mick's greatest strength is his man management to keep a squad together in difficult circumstances. Chambers admired him. As someone said on here a few weeks ago Mick is a problem Marcus is the problem. He views the club as a spreadsheet. I do not want to watch 2 more years of Micks football particularly as it will be accompanied by snarly comments and abuse. However I do recognise that he does get the maximum results from his squad. When players leave here they generally go to lower divisions or drop out of the game. When we get permanent players in they come from lower divisions or have been out of the game. I will absolutely understand if we lose another 2,000 season tickets this year but It seems unfair that Marcus can hid behind while sending Mick out to take the flack for the situation which is his creation. |

I don’t think anyone is suggesting he makes money by making a loss otherwise he should put all his money in up to the level of all his profits in all his companies. Simply that it has not cost him as much as Mick claims or as much as the loss is. The basic accounts are on the club website. I think in the most recent year we made a loss of around 4 million although some of this was debt interest so presumably paid to ME. In the year we sold Tyrone Mings we actually made a profit. That year the club made more from that one player sale than all the gate income. Tv revenue is almost as much as gate income. I think if we made no player sales ME would need to put in around £5 million a year. Fans do not have the power they used to as they are only around 30-40% of total income. I am not sure Marcus has put as much in as Mick claims. £100 million is debt is not the same as £100 paid into the club. Our highest every paid for a player is still by George Burley in the season we were relegated, not the Marcus Evans. However Marcus is in charge now and he will run it how he sees fit. If he wants to run it like this he should drop season tickets prices as we still pay one of the highest in the league for low entertainment and as most of his income comes from elsewhere it would not effect income that much. Perhaps not as much as losing another couple of thousand fans this season. Sad times. |

Of course it was aimed at ipswich fans. What could he say? Yes I do hold All ipswich in the lowest regard. He is the face of the club and should be a unifier. He treats all ipswich fans as the lowest of the low not just today but often. I rate him as a manager but this is a disgrace to the club it's history and all the great people who love and have served it. I would rather have a less successful manager who loves the club and it's people than this guy who treats us all with such disrespect. |

Why does Mick have to antagonise fans, it was the Gleeson comments this week, I think he must enjoy it! I rate him as a man manager and a football coach but he make it so hard for anyone to support him when he keeps disparaging all ITFC fans with sweeping generalisations. His worst post match comments are when we win though so perhaps we got off lightly. The Newcastle ones last year were terrible, I was embarassed for him and offended for me and my family, not to mention the Burton ones. He has got to realise he is the face of the club and in the digital age there is a constant record of his every word in press conferences. |

I am actually feeling more positive than I have done for years. We may not get in the play offs but I think this is a better squad than our last play off squad with more attacking quality, e.g Tabb vs Celina. 1 play off match in 10 years is still under par for ITFC though.
It sad to note that selling Murphy gained more money for the club than well over half of the gate receipts and that TV revenue brings in more revenue than all the real fans attending games.
Apart from Mick's insulting post match comments I think we are having a good season.
