| News Comment | Blues Linked With Move for Watford Keeper Loach at 13:10:04
ALB is local and committed to Ipswich, but that doesn't in itself make him a very good keeper. Having said that, I would welcome Loach because he does have potential to be good, despite an off season for Watford. I don't think we will be able to do much better with the lower budget we have now. |

No doubt ME Group will get preferential rates hosting future corporate events on Guam. Clegg earning his money for ME at last? |
| News Comment | Five or Six Sides Chasing Portsmouth's Ward at 12:20:46
75% of players have a hernia op in their careers? I wonder where he got that stat from - seems unlikely. As to Ward, a number of posts on various Pompey boards question whether he is really any good. They don't fault his effort or loyalty but question his quality. The problem with a utility player is that he is probably not quite good enough to hold down any one position. I think we could do better. |
| News Comment | Town Travel to Doncaster Without Leadbitter at 21:48:19
Just come back after a week away to see this news, and its like Christmas has come early. Now perhaps we can progress, if Jewell can find a youngish central midfielder with pace who doesn't mind passing forwards. |
| News Comment | Jewell Aiming to End Conveyor Belt Culture at 11:23:15
I'm still not convinced by Jewell, and reading the comments above, a number of others are like me. Irrespective of that, he is here for another season unless he screws up before Christmas. For me, the key to next season is whether Leadbitter stays or not. Our good run coincided with him out of the team. I accept he has played well since coming back, but the team hasn't. He does not seem to be able to make a decent partnership with anyone else. He is static off the ball, does not create space and with him in the team we never dominate midfield. Hyam doesn't score goals (yet) but he is twice the team player Leadbitter is. |
| News Comment | Ward in Town Talks at 08:11:14
I hope Jewell has scouted this player properly. Pompey fans do not rate him very highly. This comment is typical... "Ward really isn't very good (having the ability to run up and down will never compensate for having such a poor first touch). He gives everything but I shall not be sad to see him go." I have seen him play twice, and have not been particularly impressed. I suppose it depends on whether he is cheap, and is happy to be a squad player. |
| News Comment | Ward in Town Talks at 15:34:27
Does a Category 1 Academy have to be single club based? Could we set up an East Anglian Academy funded jointly by us and the scum on neutral territory? Players could still be attached to one or other club, but the costs would be halved. When the Budgies come down again they may struggle to fund a C1 Academy on their own if we can't. |
| News Comment | New Kits Every Year at 08:42:43
Supporters getting screwed again. The current shirts are such poor quality they don't last 2 years anyway. |
| News Comment | Swindon Make Murray Offer at 09:29:40
If the offer is reasonable we should sell. Lets be realistic, he is never going to be good enough for a starting place with us. I understand that fans have an attachment to younger players, but currently we don't have any that are quite good enough to make the step up, Carson aside, perhaps. Keane let go all those who might have been good enough. |
| News Comment | Clegg Disappointed With Leicester Change of Heart at 09:20:35
Karlosfandangel - agree with you about SSL. We have had a lucky escape there. We need to turn this to advantage now and sign a good CB, or take a risk and wait until the summer. |
| News Comment | Town Make Move for Leicester's St Ledger at 14:26:08
Cheshire - if you were referring to me, I was being deadly serious. St Leger is not a good player and we will regret signing him. We are still suffering from poor signings on long contracts by the previous manager and at this rate Jewell's legacy is not likely to be any better. We should wait until the summer and look abroad for a pair of CBs. |
| News Comment | Jewell: Evans Totally Supportive at 13:10:46
Its good to hear that ME has longer term plans, because what we have seen so far gives the opposite impression. Why can't he tell the fans what his plans are so that we can better understand his intentions? It can only be counter-productive to keep the paying customers in the dark. |

| News Comment | O\'Connor: Town Career Coming to an End at 11:08:54
Please forget the blue-tinted sentiment. I wish O'Connor well, but League 2 is his level. He was never good enough for us apart from occasional back-up. |
| News Comment | Edwards Apologises at 15:40:16
If the club is alo fining him, he has been punished twice for the same offence. I am not condoning what he did, but is that justice? |
