Lighteningboy - "Really sad day in our recent history...you can't buy players with Woolfie & Harry Clarke's attitude." Loved Woolfie and Clarke, and you are right their attitude was great but They're not at the level we're going to need to get promoted and certainly not for the Prem should we get promoted. You also do realise we can only name 25 in a squad right? where would he fit in if not letting him go? |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Egeli Move Progressing Well at 15:12:28
I am possibly more excited by this transfer than any other this window. Feels like investment in a huge opportunity! Not bad for a club that the owners are trying to cash in on, right? (you know who you are). |
 | News Comment | Hutchinson: Ipswich Will Always Have a Place in My Heart at 21:48:41
putting aside the last couple of weeks which has been very disappointing I can't get past the fact that Omari has been one of the most exciting players I have seen in a Town shirt in my 35 years as a fan. He was always going to leave for pastures new if we got relegated but I do wish him well. When he becomes an England hero at some point in the future I'm sure many will look back at the last 2 years with pride. I do understand the anger from others though. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: We're Disappointed With How Hutchinson Exit's Been Played Out at 22:35:04
Came on to the comments section to see the string of apologies offered to KM after the apparent all knowing posters that have been to quick to make the wrong assumptions about him, but can’t see any. Obviously you’re still going to get the odd dark horse amongst us who continues to show a complete lack of class. I for one take KM at his word. Agents are the scum of football. |

@Nottsblue66 - Yes there's something going on behind the scenes. We got relegated and decisions are being madein order to keep the club stable. Anyone who thought we'd just sell Delap and keep most of our squad and keep adding more are deluded. But this doesn't mean the American owners are "cashing in" as i've read on socials this morning. It means you manage the club within your means. No owner "cashing in" would be investing £30m+ in training facilites or upgrading the academy to cat 1. We're still bringing players in too. Cam and Morsy being moved on whilst nostalgically painful is probably the right thing in terms of the players' futures and security. Looks like Omari is off, but his attitude has really disappointed, was a fan's favourite and an obvious talent but the actions these last 2 weeks is souring to say the least. In summary we are a relegated side with huge costs attached yes there's the player sales money and parachute payments but we obviously have a huge wage bill too - wages often get forgotted as people latch on to transfer fees/loan fees etc. Good luck to Nathan. |

What thi s guy did was out of order and very obvious and should be banned from football. The way Klarer went after Chaplin was assualt too and I suspect will go unpunnished. Now for the contreversial bit. Chaplin was stupid booting the ball into the crowd the way he did, there is no justfiication for that whatsoever. Any fans on here 'downvoting' anyone who dares to criticise our player needs to take their head out of their butt. Let's try and keep some balance to our comments. |
 | News Comment | Davies: Two Harsh Decisions at 11:19:09
It is a penalty you can’t dispute it. The law is the problem not the decision. As for the ‘disallowed goal’ well, it wasn’t disallowed because the foul was given before Kyogo hit it. However, I agree the foul in the first place was a bit harsh. Those fouls though were being given 75% of the time throughout the match. Conclusion: we were lucky to get the point, I don’t think Birmingham really did enough to win the game though. Both teams were drawing soft fouls with minimum contact from a whistle happy inept ref. Take the pint move on. |
 | News Comment | Birmingham City 1-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:32:27
Both teams buying cheap fouls off a poor whistle happy ref. Pen is correct but the rule is crap. Very intense from both sides. Young was our best player, didn’t put a foot wrong, which tells you everything. Happily take the point but big improvement needed. Our control of the ball was poor. Few players with a bit prove but this is game 1 so no need for histrionics from the fans just yet. |

Thank god we've got people in this group who clearly have all the insider knowledge like poet and Darkhorse28 who thinks"The sooner Gamechanger move on, the sooner we can (hopefully) focus our resources in these areas and move forwards." What an astonishing statement to make! |
 | News Comment | Town Among Clubs Linked With McBurnie at 18:23:05
Calm down everyone, this info came from "The Sun, Alex Nixon's patreon page" This is the guy that said we were paying £20m for Hackney and offering him £35k a week, which the lead story on TWTD as I write says this is horse 5h1t. |
 | News Comment | Town Face Charlton at Colchester at 17:38:43
Blues81 well it looks like your are indeed arsed otherwise why reply? Making any sort of comparison to this current transfer activity and the Marcus Evans era is laughable. The very fact that you experienced that era you’d think would make you appreciate what we now have. |
 | News Comment | Six More Games Including Norwich Derby on Sky at 16:48:21
I don't get to many games these days due to work/family commitments so whilst I get the annoyance to the travelling fans (especially the Boro example) at least I'll get to see loads of games. Derby games at 12.30 are also crap but we're used to that. Not unexpected really take the positive, we're clerly massive! |
 | News Comment | Town Face Charlton at Colchester at 13:51:46
What an entitled bunch of *&%$s some have bencome on here. Look at the current squad compared to that which got promoted from the Championship last time and it's miles ahead. I doubt there's a championship fanbase that wouldn't swap their squad for ours in a heartbeat. I don't diagree that we need to add some depth in the midfield and striker roles but it's hardly a reason to start moaning about the manager is it? |
 | News Comment | Town Announce Matchday Ticket Prices at 16:29:46
Clearly you cannot define all the grade A games up front eg Millwall on the 21st March you would assume to be grade B but if (big if) they are level with us on points at the top of the table going into that game it becomes massive and therefore grade A. Whilst near or above £40 is a lot of cash it is, I'm afraid, par for the course. You can't be on here one minute complaining about not signing new players and then moan at the cost of tickets, where do you think the money comes from, our investors don't throw money at us because they are nice people. |
 | News Comment | Town Confirm Young Signing at 19:51:10
Have to say I wasn’t sure about this but just seen his interview and came across really well. I’m sure KM knows exactly what he’s doing. Nothing to lose really. 32 games in the prem last season so pretty sure we’ll get a good few at this level this year. |
 | News Comment | Super Blues Membership Prices Frozen at 17:13:52
@itfc2024 I have emailed the club on exactly that point. Anyone who is a member already and subscribing to TownTV as I currently am is quids in! Just saved £72 for the year and get a bag of goodies too, so I'm ok with the postage charge, but I get that's a pain for multiple orders to one address. Good work Town!! |
