Town Closing in On Rotherham Striker Ward
at 22:52:53

Decent player, only concern is that he's not a direct replacement for murph; different qualities and all. Would love to see this and a murph-like replacement happen. No idea why we're going for Woodrow on loan, pointless.

McCarthy: I've Done a Very Good Job Under the Terms and Conditions at Town
at 09:03:12

Completely agree. If he does go who the f**k is going to take this job with £0 to spend and do better than MM? New ownership needed, a plethora of clubs would give an arm and a leg to be where we are having spent so little, have some faith. You need to spend money to get out of this league, something Evans clearly isn't prepared to do anymore so it's time for him to go. Selling for big money three years on the spin without anything given back to supporters, Evans Out. COYB

Burnley Duo on McCarthy's Wish List
at 17:51:38

Kightly would be a great signing if he keeps fit, top winger at this level and miles better than Sears on the wing, would provide much needed experience to our now young squad. Not too excited by Jutkiewicz but could be the new murph with a bit of confidence and coaching. To everyone moaning about his goal drought, just remember Freddie hasn't scored in 34 appearances now... Surely deserves a drop

McCarthy: Win Would Have Been Fortunate
at 07:04:28

People who want Mick out, do you honestly another manager could come in and do a better job with our budget of £0? We're 8th, a point of 6th with a game in hand. Who is going to come in and do better than that!? PJ and RK couldn't manage top half and they spent about 10m each!! We've got 6 home games left all against teams 17th and below. Tricky away games but the odds are we won't lose all 5. Go and look at what teams way below have spent, doesn't always breed success. If mick had the money to spend, he would spend it like he did at all his previous clubs.

Skuse and Douglas Back, Murphy Still a Doubt
at 19:22:26

Cant believe some of the comments on here. Skuse has been one of our best players since the day he arrived. Yes Foley had a good game on sat but at the end of the day it was against forest, a team that have lost their last 4. and for the comments saying that all skuse does is pass back to the back four, did you see the game?! Foley did it far more. Big fan of Foley nonetheless but come on, him over skuse? please

McCarthy: Club Should Be Lauded
at 09:57:07

Can't believe the negativity on here wanting all these massive changes. Does anyone who wants Mick out really think anyone else could do a better job than him whilst spending this little money? I for one am proud of the club after seasons of spending and getting absolutely nowhere it is perfectly understandable that we'd have the following season of spending diddly squat, trying to sort out the mess of previous managers. Just think of all the clubs that spend million after million who finish way below us and even get relegated! Look at the mess they're in. I firmly believe the dark days of recent years are behind us and I thank MM for that.

McCarthy Delighted to Have McGoldrick Back
at 07:18:25

COYB, can't wait for today, will be interesting to see how many of the 'Mick Out' band wagon will be at Forest today, hopefully 0. No point paying the money travelling up there to moan and groan all game, back the team, get 3 points. If we win our next two games we'll have more points than we did at the same stage last season.... Onwards and (hopefully) upwards!

McCarthy: We Let Our Guard Down
at 07:58:21

If people are serious about wanting Mick out after 3 progressively successful years, answer me this; who would you want at the helm to replace him?.. IMO there is nobody that we could realistically get that is anywhere close to him.

Hull City 3-0 Town - Match Report
at 22:08:39

Still shocked to see so many people wanting Mick out, yes we have 1 win in 8 but its just a bad spell, every team has them. Do we really want to go through another 3 or 4 years transition just to find out that the next manager isn't as good? who are we going to appoint that is a better manager than mick? Last year in the play offs, 7 weeks ago top of the league., 34 games to go... lets be realistic. COYB

McCarthy: Draw a Fair Result
at 22:28:47

No doubt what MM has done has been nothing short of brilliant and we do all love the bloke but ever since the Reading game when the team sheet is released not one fan is happy with it. Every one of us can see that this team needs a shake up and playing the same stale players week in week out is killing our season! I hate to think of what it does to the players like McGoldrick, Bart and Bru who can't seem to get a game regardless of how bad the rest of the team are playing. One thing that really bugs me is that Bart was 1st choice keeper for most of last year and the start of this year both times we were doing excellently, he then missed the Brighton game as he sadly had to return to Poland to console his family after his father passed away, Gerken makes 0 saves and concedes 3. The Reading game rolls around next, It's been 2 weeks, Bart is back amongst the squad but Gerken is still picked. 5 goals conceded, 0 saves, no commanding of his 6 yard box let alone area and some of the slowest dives ive ever seen; that's 8 conceded in 2, back four are the same, only the keeper is different. Here we are 6 weeks down the road with 1 win under our belt with Gerken still as number 1, okay he made some saves today but nothing out of the routine duties of a keeper. My point stands though, Bart did not deserve to lose his place because of the death of his father. McGoldrick in, Bru in, give skuse and Douglas some fresher legs in there, 19 games unbeaten last winter playing 4-3-3 for most of them, same again please, to Hull I go, COYB.

McCarthy Pleased With Response
at 22:32:43

A lot of comments moaning at Chambers playing RB, although I agree he should be playing in the middle, if he wasn't playing RB today, he never would've scored the goal... Sick of seeing Gerken in goal, of course the deflection didn't help but i've just seen the highlights and i cant help but think a half decent keeper would've kept that out anyway. Yes he made a 'good' save, but it was straight at him, was more of a routine one. Bart has to play for me; he was first choice up until the Brighton game and dropped out due to his very sad personal reasons, but hes back now, Gerken has conceded 11 in 5, so why the fork is he still getting picked?!

Douglas Delighted to Get Chance to Play for McCarthy
at 08:41:26

Great signing! Gives MM a lovely selection headache in that midfield now. Really want us to play a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 this season with McGoldrick, Murph and Sears all involved, if we really do have the best 4-man strike force in the league, lets use a system that lets us play 3 out of the 4! Thats 40 goals at least if those three stay fit. COYB

Mings: Fulham Win Showed What We're All About
at 10:18:25

cats_whiskers, I couldn't disagree with you more. Skuse is a good player, his job isn't to score goals, he gets the ball down and plays it, rarely gives it away. He wins headers in the midfield which is something we've always lacked. His work rate and defending are second to none. He was Bristol City captain for 4 years too so the leadership aspect comes in also. Every midfield needs its anchor, and he's ours. Hyam is the one that should be scoring/assisting, hes the one that needs to improve.

He's done we'll so far in my opinion, great set piece taker which we have been crying out for, works up and down the pitch and chipped in with a goal. Just a shame about the niggling injuries. Look forward to seeing him back on the right at Wigan!
