Really liking the look of J Clarke in preparation for next season (n/t)
at 17:50 3 May 2025

A much better player than people have given him credit for. He will be vital against the low block next season. He will just run and run at defences and cause all sorts of problems.

50 or 60 passes leading up to that goal.

for all the people who suggest we shouldn't criticise reform or their voters
at 16:34 2 May 2025

You have to let democracy take its path. If we all thought the same and wanted the same then democracy falls down. These reform folk now have to prove themselves. If they fall short they'll be voted out next time.

Mad amount of empty seats in the City end
at 20:54 27 Apr 2025

I hope it is because of the pricing. I bet it costs a bloody fortune to go there. It would be nice to see some teams deliberately not go and watch it on the tv. That would be a big kick in the teeth to the people who run the show.

I am absolutely fuming
at 19:17 26 Apr 2025

Yeah the first yellow is given 50% of the time and not given the other 50% obviously. Same with the Penalty I have seen many of those given and many not given. The referee looked like it was really getting on top of him the last 10 minutes of the first half. I thought he was going to cry to be honest.

Fair enough to him. What would you prefer 49k fist throwing m0ther f#ckers coming at you or 3k? Tough day.

I got back into it last year for the first time in several decades. Been watching it a little this year too. Nice harmless sport. But an interesting look at human beings under duress.

Greaves' cameo versus arsenal was his best game in months. I'd be happy to see him there again.

So, season tickets up 10%
at 14:41 24 Apr 2025

I said at the start of the season I would not renew if it was much more than a 10%. This is a sensible amount by the club. Personally my finances at the moment are very poor. If will have to have check my budget for the next 12 months. Also the fawanews factor needs to be considered.

I'd love to be 18 again and going away on that 8 month tour. That would be so excellent.

You should go to Asia and share a meal with the chinese. There is a whole new world of poor hygiene with those chop sticks.

Who do you want (realistic names only) us to sign for next season then?
at 16:25 22 Apr 2025

I would be inclined to offer Tuanzabe a long contract, but loan him out to a prem team for next season. He is less effective in the championship last term as he is not so good going forward. We would perhaps have a fit again Clarke or Brandon at RB next term. I think Ogbene and Burns will be fine next season, if they regain fitness well. Deffo need two CM, although I still think Taylor is good enough for next season. Poor lad has never really been given a run of games. Yes we need another couple of strikers to cover Hirst. Mind you I assume that Ali will be back in the summer and he is fine at championship level. I think we will keep Hutchinson and perhaps he will find the #10 role a bit easier next season at that level. I have always preferred him on the wing dribbling at low block defences. Broady, billie jean and SS will have stellar seasons. The important player we need to keep is O'Shea. He has been excellent. He will push Delap close for player of the season. Greaves looked good again against Arsenal and Woolfy will be fine in the champ.

Looking forward to this rebuild.

Likely candidates for Norwich post
at 16:01 22 Apr 2025

After studying their squad depth and team cohesion I have come up with the following 2 candidates for the role of manager:-

1. Merlin - was said to perform some miraculous tasks.
2. Gandalf - a bit of an outsider, but has come back from the dead once already.

Jokes aside. The one saving grace is they have a Cat1 academy and they might have a good batch about to break through. I think this job will be tough to fill. Especially as they have very high expectations.

Budgies have sacked their manager. Shame. Never mind.

They are in a mess? Are the Americans putting money in? But then again you have to go down to do that really like we did. The rules are better down there if my memory serves me correct.

Bit disappointed with the BBC

Somebody needs to remind the BBC that the UK is essentially a protestant country. Goodness they could even do a bit on Henry xviii and why we are that way.

Arsenal put out a young side?
at 10:55 20 Apr 2025

Anybody else think arsenal will put out a young inexperienced team to face us today. If there is any doubt on saka, rice etc all I would bench them for champions league semi.

Them playing an unusual team would also mess us up a bit as KM is a stickler for details of rival players. You can bet we are clued up on their stars. Interesting match today.

Did the judge do the Mick Dundee test? Isn't life complicated when some think that men are women and women are men? And some are a bit of both?

Migrants really should adopt
at 10:42 16 Apr 2025

I have friends who go overseas and try and live the life they live at home. Often hear people on UK radio stations listening from abroad, while being near the pool. What is wrong with these people. Although as we speak emmigration out of the UK is very high. O how I yearn for a cheaper living.

It's a kind of weird fetish to want to be somewhere else and yearn for being at home. Nothing better than trying local food, culture and attempting dialect.
