That wording suggests that the 'loving' is for a certain amount of time - I am loving that now - but will stop at some time in the future. It's not much of a compliment.
Yes, 'smashing it' seems to mean something profound. Especially with regards to a band / song / performance that is average at best.
I stayed at Dunston Hall not so long ago. Never heard so many 'London' accents. Like everyone there. I don't know where anyone was from but it was very odd. I lived in London for 25 years so I know what Londoners sound like.
every damn band / singer / song / set / album / audience / ... Just once could they not go ... wow that was pretty awful. Because much of it really is awful.
