 | News Comment | Cajuste: Tough and Competitive League, Just as I Expected at 09:26:06
Dodgy knees at 25 is never a good sign. So he might not have failed a medical as per pre season with Brentford, but it was enough of a concern for them not to proceed. Little concerning that we have a mandatory buy option if we stay up. Why take that risk? |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-1 Leicester City - Match Report at 17:34:35
The did well for the majority. Was impressed with Chaplin today and that was a cracking finish by Davis following a fine ball by Morsy. Phillips was a bit silly with an unnecessary challenge around their 18 yard box. Penalty shout was a bit of a strange one and even the replay looked strange. Looked like a coming together/stand your ground block or barge. Would be disappointed if it was given against us. Good to see Hutchinson on the right. Muric did what was required of him, but needs to thank Burgess for getting us out of trouble. Hope things change going forward, but…..we are not beating those around us and it’s starting to get more concerning that we have not won yet. |

Spiritofjohn conversation through this is all. Enjoy a civil debate with people. Goalkeeper and striker really are the positions that you can’t wait for them to try and sort out errors unfortunately. You have to start and carry on, because they tend to have the consequences that determine games. Not posted the same thing three times and am just curious of people perceptions. I agree with some and not others - just like everyone else. |

Carlo88 what has McKenna had to moan about? Last two seasons were a dream, but now we are in a league where mistakes are punished. The best managers know when a mistake has been made and know when a player is affecting others around them and will take them out of the equation. We have already seen enough to know that Muric has already and will continue to cost us vital points. I’ll never forget the horror show that was Man City. Yes it’s Man City, but that doesn’t excuse positioning that is all over the show, indecisiveness on corners and dallying on the ball with poor passes. Just boot it up the field if you are not sure or at least play it wide so you have a chance at recovery |

There were a few of us that questioned his signing at the start of the season and got slated for it here. That has proven to be correct as he is a liability. A goalkeeper is expected to make saves as it is what their position requires them to do. Yes he has a made a few decent saves, but he has also been at fault for a few goals already and we are not even a 1/3 of the way through the season. Poor signing and I am not sure who at the club thought he would be. |
 | News Comment | Brentford 4-3 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:42:02
Ouch. That was a sucker punch. Fantastic effort to get us back to 3-3 a man down. Harry Clarke - positioning was a problem of his last season and the inevitable happened against better players. I was starting to give Muric the benefit of the doubt, but he has been at fault for a few goals and his positioning and passing are quite frankly a nerve jangling watch. Think position was a transfer mistake unfortunately. Midfield was generally better today and we got caught out down the wings and over the top. Getting a little concerned that we do not seem to play any formation but 4-2-3-1. Are we not going to try something else? |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-2 Everton - Half-Time at 16:24:12
That was bad. Omari doesn’t work centrally and he is playing there again…..mind boggling. Penalty was 50-50 to be fair. Could say Clarke kicked Mcneils planted leg. |
 | News Comment | West Ham United 4-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:13:07
Delap superb as always. Johnson was awful - constantly playing people onside and passing was not good. Hutchinson was none existent again, but neither Clarke or Burns were much better. Muric made some good saves, although not helped by Johnson - sometimes better just to boot it clear. Why no subs till 72nd minute - strange when comfortably losing 3-1 for a bit by that stage. Bad day at the office, but the results recently will give us a little to fall back on. Onwards and upwards. |
 | News Comment | Town Agree Goalkeeper Data Partnership at 12:40:17
His shot stopping is not in doubt as he has proved already. What is a concern is his passing under pressure. We are a team that play it out from the back and he does look a bit shakey or is without confidence in his own ability to play that way. I am a bit of a sceptic with him, but his shot stopping in the last few games has been impressive. They say keepers generally get better towards their 30’s, so am guessing we should be looking at an evolved player in time. |
 | News Comment | Southampton 1-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:32:23
Glad we managed to get a point. Little surprised Szmodics was taken off that early on when losing - would probably have taken Burna off instead at that point. Would like to see Szmodics down the middle soon. Think he would be more of a threat than Hutchinson. Not sure Hutchinson playing there is getting the best from either of them. Appreciate McKenna is trying to take the pressure off, but I think we all know deep down that probably Southampton, Leicester and Everton were probably needing to be six pointers. |
 | News Comment | Southampton 1-0 Ipswich Town - Half-Time at 16:04:14
Tuanzebe at fault for the goal unfortunately. Get it clear. Not sure from are games this season - Omari down the middle is working that well unfortunately. Would like to see Hutchinson right - Szmodics central - Clarke left for second half. Hope for a better performance. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Broja Discussions Ongoing at 10:42:24
This move is coming across as very risky. Out for 7 weeks - can we wait that long. Seems injury prone and not played a lot of football. The main concern is that he could have a mediocre season and we have to fork out £30m if we stay up. I am not sure about this deal personally and think we should move on. His record doesn’t scream that he is worth the risk to be fair. |

Blues1 just focus on your own comments as you don’t seem to say anything nice to other people. What is your problem? It’s an opinions/discussion forum. Debate with people, but there is no need to be insulting or belittle people. Just chill out - everyone is entitled to their own opinion. |
 | News Comment | Manchester City 4-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:51:17
Championship GK - Muric Burnley get promoted - buy Trafford who plays most of the season. Muric comes in last part of season and gives away goals due to howlers like today. So I was correct that Muric was dropped for Trafford. Just so happens that they were as poor as each other last season and Trafford was later dropped for Muric. I was right in that he was dropped. I unlike some take this for an opinion/discussion forum and although I might not agree with everyone, I don’t get petty. |
 | News Comment | Manchester City 4-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:19:50
Muric is not a good keeper and proved today. 1 game 1 gifted goal. Mistake for their second and was in no man’s land for 3rd. Kicking was poor also. He will not be a good purchase for us and you can see why he was dropped for Trafford. Szmodics - impressive. We got it wrong by not playing 5 at the back from the start. We looked a lot more of a unit when we did. Davis - was no need for the challenge (chances were that he was just about to run it out of play) 2 games that we were not expecting much - looking back we didn’t get rolled over in all of the 4 half’s(just 2)and we have scored. Positives for Greaves and Szmodics. Help looks positive as an outlet also. |
 | News Comment | Johnson: We'll Not Be Sitting Ducks at 07:50:58
Personally think we should line up with 3 at the back and wing backs. Davis was exposed against Liverpool and feel Man City will possibly exploit that. The extra defender will just help with cover. Would line up with the below: Gk Muric (if fit) if not Walton LCB Burgess CB Greaves RCB Wolfenden LWB David RWB Johnson CM Morsy CM Luongo LW Szmodics RW Hutchinson FW Delap |
