Can’t break the championship transfer record, spend big on signings most clubs in the league could only dream of and then call it a rebuilding season. Firmly in no excuse territory however many players we need to bed in. Burnley had an equally big turnover last season and got promoted so it can be done. Not to mention we’ve done deals with promotion dependant obligations, that should outline what the expection should be, and is, in itself. |

Would have thought it would all be completely done, medical complete and finalised before it was allowed to be leaked to the media given the clubs involved. Not like he could ever go back to Norwich if it collapsed |

In fairness they also lost their 3rd league match and their first two games/wins were against 2 teams that got relegated in the end, not sure Birmingham or Southampton will be going down! |

They drew at home with all 3 of Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland last season, shame we haven’t won yet because this is definitely quite a tough one! |

Imagine the club’s valuation was already very high for Davis given how instrumental he’ll be for us this season, with Townsend’s longterm injury that valuation, rightfully, will have risen even more. Undoubtedly Hutchinson in terms of talent and potential is our premium market value player but in terms of on pitch importance no one in our squad beats Davis in the championship. Even if he’s somewhat unhappy and wants to go I just can’t foresee us sanctioning this one |
