It's refreshing to see a solid unit compared to the erratic performances under Cook. There is still a slim chance of making the play-offs. We need to win consecutively in the upcoming games against teams in-and-around us. Achieving this would have been unimaginable with previous Ipswich teams. blues1. I agree, Joe Pigott hasn't really been given a chance but to be honest, I haven't really seen anything from him to suggests he warrants one. I also feel he's not the type of striker McKenna needs for his style of play. Perhaps time will prove me wrong |

Frustrating, very frustrating. Burns had an off night. Strikers completely out of form and never really looked like scoring. Celina and Chaplin are very similar players but neither showed enough penetration in the second half. Our centre midfield were completely missing in the second half. Celina's poor last minute corner summed up the night. I would have preferred to see Norwood come on over Pigott to rescue the game. Pigott's touch was poor and he was caught offside too many times. Kane Vincent Young should start over Thompson going forward. Season might not quite be dead if Burton pull off a result but still, no room for error. COYB! |

I think it's refreshing to see McKenna pick the most appropriate 11 for his style as opposed to just the best players. I hope Jackson can prove us all wrong! |
