Plain and simple - 49 years old, been a supporter for my whole life. Lived everywhere, followed the Town. Next season it's gonna feel so good smacking the Budgies around Twice. COYB! |
| News Comment | McKenna: We Fancied Ourselves For a Good Start at 20:59:56
Better to be on the front foot and confident - love this manager. He has just enough of the edge to him towards arrogant to be a winner. Keep it up. Own this league and the next. |

Just logged back on from Texas after playing golf. Saw the result earlier. Is this the twilight zone on the comments board? Hardly one complaint? Great game. Great start. Well done out lads. Well done the boss. Well done ITFC. Carry on! |

Just come home from golf today in Texas - wow just wow. So pleased my team is seemingly back playing Ipswich Town football again. The pride should be back for all fans and the squad right. Congrats to KMc and the team! |
| News Comment | EFL Drop Matchday Testing at 18:42:03
I wish people would just use common sense in reacting to this. Is anybody who is vaccinated tested daily at their workplace whether they are showing symptoms or not? I doubt it. Why not just stop life altogether. There has to be a balance or there will be nothing left to enjoy and just remember COVID is likely going to remain around and that for just about every virus, as it mutates from the original strain and becomes more infectious it also becomes less lethal so it still has hosts to survive in. Sports here in the US are taking exactly this approach so no not “China” or “Russia”. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-0 Wycombe Wanderers - Match Report at 22:27:34
A 1-0 win was actually the best possible result in my book as it told us so much about how in under 2 weeks Kieran was able to set up another managers team to be kinda solid and win when Paul could not do that ever. |
| News Comment | Town Confirm McKenna Appointment at 03:12:56
I think this is a good time to take stock of where we have come from and where we are now. The club is now in better hands, a good CEO with intent and money backing him. Gotten rid of poor management (not Cook as he wasn't given a lot of time given the magnitude of change of personnel). Improved the playing staff and now need to get them better organised and coached to push forward. Have a new hungry manager with an experienced number 2 to support him. In short we have plenty to be happy about compared to where we were as a club. |

Who? But really? Sounds like our so called professional players need a good dose of the hairdryer from an experienced respected man manager. Don't think this fits the bill. |
| News Comment | Manager Cook Sacked at 23:28:00
Plain n simple - excited. Let's move on with a manager who knows more than one system, i.e. an actual manager. It's like putting down a dying animal, the kindest thing has been done early enough for the club. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-2 West Ham U21s - Match Report at 03:55:39
I live in the US right now. Game time is middle of my work day. I casually logged on to see by how many our “string team” of hand picked experienced hardened professional league footballers had beaten West Ham kids by. Can we sign the ladies team and their manager? Likely I'll get thumbs down but really?????? |
| News Comment | Morsy Set to Sign Before Deadline at 19:30:36
Well, well, well - can it get any better? Not been this excited about the future of my club in a long time. Hopefully no last minute glitches. Now time to deliver! |
| News Comment | Cook: First Half Possibly the Worst Performance From One of My Teams in My Whole Managerial Career at 19:49:04
When we all talk about managers being responsible for motivation I think we are missing a key point in the players job title.....”Professional” footballer. They get paid to play football. It's like saying it's my companies fault without them having done anything wrong to change my employment that I can't be arsed to do my job in a Professional manner. Even so, they should be seeking a next employer and to do that surely even this bunch of muppets should understand they stand a better chance of finding a new club if they actually turn up and put in a shift. Disgraceful. |
