The arrogance of some of our own fans is what concerns me the most. We are a League 1 side whether we like it or not. We have had a slow decline for years. We find ourselves where we are and have to forget the past. We have no right to expect to beat anybody in the league at this point. Am I annoyed by simple mistakes, of course I am! Am I patient and realistic, yes! Our new and generous owners that we have said that this project will take time! Short memories from many on here. It's 5 games in! 5 games! We have a brand new team! Brand new! To be upset and annoyed is totally acceptable. That's because we care and love the club. To call for Cook to be sacked is an embarrassment from some of our fans. It shows a total lack of understanding and disrespect to how much hard work goes on behind the scenes. It's sad to lose, it's even more sad to see some of the comments, arrogance and delusion after each game. I am truly embarrassed by some of our fans on here. If you want Cook out, then you'll want the next manager out if they draw a couple of games and lose a couple of games. It's a wonder any manager would want to come to us by the way some of our fans act. It is not FIFA or Football Manager! You can't just build a team, buy players and expect to win straight away. The real world doesn't work like that. I did not expect us to romp this league. I do expect us to challenge and still believe we can. After all, there is 41 games to go, that's 123 points to play for by the way. Hope PC turns this around and our owners back him and don't listen to the negativity. We have a proven GOOD manager who is genuinely trying to build something. He's as annoyed as we are, but he will be the one working hard to rectify it, not throwing the towel in like some of you after 5 games!!! |
