Ipswich Town 3-0 Shrewsbury Town - Match Report
Just got home. Have to say I was really impressed with our performance today. Back 4 looked solid and chambers played really well... The whole team exuded confidence and that was evident with some of the ball control and flair. Skuse was excellent in the middle and played some fantastic long balls into space. It's also lovely to have 2 proper strikers, Norwood and Jackson really are starting to click and their partnership for Jackson's goal was great. I took my 3 year old son for his first ever math today, got him his own shirt and was proud to have taken him to that game, something I'd not have done in previous seasons, the atmosphere was awesome and he was actually scared by the noise when we scored, well done all! Top of the league :)

Ipswich Town 1-1 Sunderland - Match Report
Just watched the highlights, thought we looked confident and creative on the whole, far better than last season... Need to get in the habit of punishing teams and getting the ball in the net... That aside, Luke Chambers has to take some blame for that awful defending... If one of the youngsters did that I'd perhaps be more understanding but at 33 with countless games under the belt, that's not a mistake you should be making! Just bang it out to safety and get the team behind the ball ffs.
Webster's Brighton Move Confirmed
I agree with zondervantheman, I think a major issue with the running of this club is that we are very short aighted, we are reactive and not proactive. Much as Marcus Evans goes on about his 5 point plan, it's all a load of crap if we are not actually forward looking and planning what we want to achieve. Slimming down the squad we have to the extent we have is a case in point. Marcus evens wanted to cut the wage bills and shifted on a load of players and left a small squad of limited experience and youth players, we get a load of injuries and now our slim squad really is in dire need of depth, as a result we need to be reactive in potentially bringing in some cover when there isn't really any available because the proactive clubs have already done their business and got in the players they need. If we get any more injuries, especially in the defensive dept we really will be in the poo. It frustrates me so much that we've got in a great striker who really looks the business, he has good support from midfield (something we lacked last year) yet our owner is not willing to complete the picture by strengthening our defence! It's like running 25 miles of a marathon and not finishing the race! A solid investment in our defence would stabilise the whole team, midfield and strikers will feel more relaxed in pushing forward if they have the solid back line. Last season we were always on the back foot defensively with the likes of Sears tracking back all the time to help in defence, what's the point in having strikers if they are so deep. Spend a bit of cash, bring in a signing that can cut it in championship next season and show some intent to win this league AND contend for top half championship next season!!
Accrington Stanley 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
I don't often post on here but read everyone's comments post games. Today I just had to contribute, maybe as part of a mourning process. Where do I start? I watched today's game, and I'm trying to work out what emotions I actually feel/felt...
Embarrassment - Our club used to be exciting and a threat, people would actually be nervous of playing against us. NO MORE
Anger - I'm angry that we have ownership that seems deluded that we can remain in the championship by spending a pittance... I know it's his money and he can do what he wants with it but you don't buy a football club to make a fortune, you do it because you care about the club and want to see it succeed... Much as people spout off that Marcus Evans puts in money each year to balance the books, he could buy a Sunday team and do the same... There are other owners in the championship with far less wealth than Evans' 8-900 million that have spent big and are reaping the rewards. I don't want to support a club on a Marcus Evans life support machine, I want the excitement of competing.
Apathy - at the same time as being angry, in creeps apathy. I used to be so emotionally involved in every result but now I'm finding myself losing the passion, losing the emotional link to the club, it's like I'm falling out of love with Ipswich Town.
All of this stems from the top. They don't want to bring in high earners because they feel it will upset the current wage hierarchy so we stay in a rut of average and below average players. This club needs a complete clear out and a rebuild from the bottom up, Marcus Evans is living in the past if he thinks we can compete for promotion on a shoestring budget, he needs to invest! Have a clear out, Change the wages and show some intent or leave.
I thought this post would make me feel better but I just feel more angry.

It shouldn't be about profit or what you paid for them, it about what they are worth and how much people are willing to pay for that. Has Evans got a reputation as a 'selling man' why not offer low eh?
Posh Winger and Grayson Linked
They could have relaid the pitch between the edge of each penalty area months ago considering we bypass midfield most games.
Knudsen: McCarthy Leaving Has Effect on My Future
I'll put my head above the parapet and say I was someone desperate for Mick to leave and glad he's made the right choice. What concerns me is the level of angst and aggressiveness that still lurks on here. I personally respect Knudson for being honest about how he feels, I'm sure many others feel the same with a new manager coming in. Rate him or not, he's always given his all in games and has improved a great deal since arriving suggesting he trains hard too. Give the lad a break, I'd rather have Knudson than journeyman like Bowyer or Bullard or loans that people consistently moan about. The vile language and comments towards players is not what are club is and think those people should draw a line under the McCarthy era and try to be a little more positive and upbeat about the future, let the new manager decide eh.

I don't often post on here but saw this on Facebook and thought it was a joke to begin with. It looks bloody awful... I never thought I'd day this but would prefer Marcus Evans still on the front.
