Gutted is an understatement, however, the club almost definitely already have a list of suitable replacements. Walton looked the more likely to be second choice, not Vaz.

Can't blame him for being honest.
It was one of our biggest regrets in recent history, especially in the last 10-15yrs or so.
Probably didn't ask for much in salary, inexperienced to a certain degree and probably didn't realise the issues we had as a club at the time.
We took on Roy who had I think a year or two at Sunderland, and then Jewell who literally helped derby to the worst points finish in premier league history, we weren't exactly setting the bar high for managers.
