Think we have our Axel replacement. Someone who will churn out 7 out of 10 performances, consistent and with no fuss.

Can we talk about how crap they are?
at 21:53 12 Sep 2025

We've come across them at a good time, that's for sure. They're mentally shot. But it's good to see us be so ruthless and clinical in attack

I'd be raging at that if I was a Blades fan

He literally gave up for the fifth. Just let Clarke walk past him. Pathetic

A total scuff but they all count. The disallowed goal was actually a good finish

7 shots, 5 on target - It's coming, isn't it - COYB! (n/t)

The main positive from that half is how incisive we've been in attack, could have easily had two or three goals. On the other hand, I can't imagine McKenna is delighted with how easily we've given up the ball at times

Passing around the back

Definitely feels like something is missing compared to when we were playing this way two seasons ago, think there's more to it than the GK and centre-backs. Does not make for comfortable viewing

Far right politico Charlie Kirk just shot in the neck in Utah
at 08:36 11 Sep 2025

Maybe I'm overreacting and someone with more knowledge of the situation can correct me, but it really feels like there's no path back to what you would think of as a "normal", well-functioning democracy for the US. The government spews hateful rhetoric daily, political violence is surging, and I don't believe for a minute that they would accept the result of an election that voted them out.

Genuinely might be the worst video I've seen. America is in a seriously bad place, you wonder if this could devolve into some sort of civil war. When you have a government that preaches violence and hatred, it makes events like this much more likely.

This was my first reaction... Postecoglou's style is completely different to Nuno. This could be a disaster.

That's right, you are assigned a number randomly, presumably to deter everyone from trying to log in at the same time.

Not sure exactly how many, but I've found that if I want to get two or three seats together, I need to be in the first 1200 - 1500 in the queue. Today I am 3614, so no point even waiting.

Another round of dismal lopsided spirit-crushing international qualifiers
at 09:02 8 Sep 2025

I would much prefer one longer break than three or four short breaks per season, treat qualifiers like a mini-tournament. Or just play them all after the club season. I don't see how the current setup suits anyone, it is so disruptive and encourages players to pull out with the most minor and tenuous injuries.

Controversial alternative view: Loyalty is a two way street
at 10:25 2 Sep 2025

No I get all that, my comment was probably unnecessarily sarky, I just don't see the need to talk down the 23/24 team in the process, e.g. saying Chaplin's form "fell off a cliff" (comment from a similar thread) or that the group of players have not shown any loyalty.

When’s the Prem bubble going to pop?
at 10:09 2 Sep 2025

While the view of the broadcast rights continues to go up, or remains steady, I can't see any reason why the bubble would pop. There are other factors but that is the primary driver.

As it sounds like some have decided the squad that picked up 96 points was bang average, I look forward to this new squad shattering all records this season, will be fun to watch.

Evolution - Rebuilding Season
at 07:45 2 Sep 2025

The aim before the start of the season was top two. The aim now is still top two. Burnley had a similar if not greater squad turnover last summer and won promotion with 100 points. No excuses, it's time for the McKenna and his team to create new heroes.

I’m sad to see Chappers and Wolfie leave but I don’t think they were part
at 16:57 1 Sep 2025

I see some logic, but I do understand the emotional reaction. We wait so long for a team we can really identify with, when it happened it was better than we could have ever hoped for, and 18 months later it's gone.

What happened to the window being all about retention? (n/t)
at 16:32 1 Sep 2025

Went out of the window weeks ago. The players that had won promotion and were subsequently displaced didn't want to be warming the bench in the Championship, which is understandable.
