So he's been carrying an injury more or less since he joined? I remember the shoulder injury but no recollection of anything in the first half of the season. |

Obviously nobody should be booing our own players, that really ought to go without saying, but if McKenna and the coaching staff rated Muric as highly as a lot of people on here apparently do, would they have rushed out to sign Palmer at the end of January? |

Like many have already said, would be sad to see him go, but this looks like a sensible deal for all parties. Especially from the player's perspective - only one year left on his current deal, and realistically looking at another season on the bench if he were to stay. I rate him highly but he seems to be behind both Philogene and Clarke. |

Nothing against him but we have a hundred players in that part of the pitch, and we overpaid for him, so I wouldn't be overly upset if we could break even on him and move on. [Post edited 25 May 18:17]

I don't think you're being too harsh, given the enormous financial disparities and lack of parachute payment teams in next season's Championship. The most likely way things go wrong for us is we lose McKenna and his replacement isn't up to scratch. |

We have keepers on our books with good records in the Championship, and there are other areas that need strengthening more urgently. None of them look capable of making the step up to the PL but we can worry about that if and when we get there. |

You can see why they've fallen off so badly late in the season. Playing with no confidence whatsoever, they've essentially tried to defend for 180 minutes. The only reason they're still in this is the goal they were gifted late in the first leg. |

From a recruitment perspective there is much better value to be found abroad, with the caveat that you need to invest in the scouring and data infrastructure first. For some reason it has become accepted that one good season in the Championship means you are worth 10-15m, maybe even 20m, so why wouldn't you try to find cheaper options elsewhere? |
