Over the last 40 years their average position is 24th. Ours is 30th. Speaking as someone who's 50, I'm fed up with hearing this rubbish.

Sorry but that's nonsense. Over the last 40 years they have been the prominent club in East Anglia. We were miles better when the world was black and white.

We have a chance to change that now.

How many games against the top 6 have we won? Is it one out of seven?
We need to go up automatically

If we do end up in the playoffs
at 17:37 3 Feb 2024

We will end up in the play offs and they will be won by the team that is in the best form at the time. We're in the bottom half based on the last 10 games so don't hold your breath.

Forget a bad run of form, this is a concerning now

We are a newly promoted team. No one had played against us before. The drop off coincided with the Norwich game and the fact we're playing teams for the second time.
We're not going to make the top two and the play offs are going to be extremely competitive. It's a bit worrying because McKenna will probably get the Palace job if we don't go up.

For goodness sake grow up. If we go up (and I think we will) it's going to be an absolute nightmare. Unless we spend around £250m.

Frightened to go up

How on earth didn't we win that?

Having said that, I never thought we were going to score in the 2nd half.

But let's forget about Norwich for a moment. I hate to say it but we don't have a single Premier League standard player.

How do you get from London to Innsbruck? (n/t)
at 06:52 8 Jul 2023

Fly to Salzburg then train.

When in Innsbruck visit the ski jump. It's truly terrifying from the top.

There is also a church/cathedral which was built for the King. He asked for statues of his friends to be placed down both sides. Unfortunately he didn't have any friends so his courtiers invented several and their imaginery lives are detailed with each statue😂

Based on previous hearings it seems that the hearing won't be held until the summer. The offences he is charged with could carry a lengthy ban and his legal team are entitled to a reasonable time to prepare a defence

Do you think McKenna will get us up this season?
at 06:58 22 Jan 2023

I think we're some way behind the top 2 and can't really see anyone outside the top 6 forcing their way into the playoffs. The playoffs are a lottery so I'd say we have a 1 in 4 chance. If I was daft enough to bet on it I'd go for Plymouth, Wednesday and Derby. Warne is probably the most effective manager in the top 6,not that I'd want to watch one of his teams

Still hard to accept we in League One....
at 16:23 11 Jul 2022

Sorry, but the tax reduction scheme claims are nonsense, and yes I do have the professional expertise in that respect. Corporation tax levels have never been higher than 30% in recent years. Evans isn't a fool and no one makes a loss of £1,000 to get a refund of £300. It's possible he may have tried to soften the blow with such a claim but I suspect HMRC would have put a stop to it quite quickly. We'll never know.
Evans bought a debt of £30m ish for £7m and I suspect his aim was promotion and taking the full £30m out of the first Sky payment. That would have been an excellent investment but he misjudged the promotion bit!
In terms of long term success we are probably capable of being in the top 30 clubs in the country. Historically we have over performed due in the main to a couple of extraordinary managerial appointments.
The problem we now have is that the current owners have again invested with a view to making a profit. Anyone who thinks they have done it for the good of the club and its supporters is living in cloud cuckoo land.
The other problem we have is that our players are League 1 standard. If we go up we will need significant investment to stay up.

Perhaps they were treated differently because they are different. Hillsborough, Heysel and Paris have a common demoninator.
This is how the delightful Liverpool fans greeted the Manchester City team bus

Unless they (or us) get huge investment they won't survive in the Premier League.
But nor are they likely to go into liquidation as someone has suggested above. Businesses that don't carry debt and are risk averse don't tend to be liquidated 😂

Sheffield United - Forest has started well

Very good standard, especially Forest. The frightening thing is that none of our players would get in either of these teams. It's amazing how far you can fall behind in such a short space of time 😒
