Rovers Boss: Baggott a Credit to Himself and Town
at 19:37:56

If we're still in the Championship next season he should be here, pushing for a place in the first team.

FA Cup Replays Scrapped
at 17:14:57

I have mixed feelings about this. The cup loses some of its magic if a little club who draws with a much bigger club then loses on penalties and misses out on a replay at their little ground, or a visit to a big and/or historic ground.
However I understand the desire to reduce the number of domestic midweek games, especially for
Premier League clubs who qualify for European competitions. On balance for the benefit of English clubs in European competitions, the national team and players welfare, I think no cup replays is the best way forward.

Ipswich Town 1-1 Middlesbrough - Match Report
at 18:03:04

With two tough away games after the break, it's disappointing that we only got two points from two home games this week. It could've been six points with better finishing but it could also have been no points without Hladky. However, Leicester and Leeds are also finding it hard to score goals at the moment and it looks like the two automatic promotion places won't be decided until the final day. I can see both Leicester and Leeds dropping some more points and if so six more points may be enough to win the league, and four more might be enough for second place. Squeaky bum time but fingers crossed.

Al-Hamadi Handed Full Debut as Blues Make Six Changes Against Boro
at 14:52:47

We will probably need to be at our best to beat an in form Boro side today but if we do win it will really ramp up the pressure on Leicester and Leeds. We have two very tough away games after the break, so a three point lead would be very handy.

Morsy: Our Biggest Strength Has Been How We Bounce Back
at 22:44:11

Although Sam admits that we didn't play well, he claims that we still had more chances to score than Norwich. Come on Sam, we only looked like scoring once all day but Norwich had numerous opportunities to add to their lead thanks to us giving the ball away cheaply. We only turned up for the last ten minutes. Today's performance was more than below par or disappointing, it was unacceptable (worse than the Maidstone disaster). In these circumstances it is disappointing that neither Keiran nor Sam has offered any apology to the fans. I acknowledge of course that there have been lots of very good performances this season and that we're still second in the table but that doesn't excuse today's unacceptable performance.

McKenna: We Didn't Hit Our Usual Levels
at 20:17:50

I will start by saying that what Keiran has achieved with this squad of players is amazing and that he should be Championship Manager of the season.
However, I am disappointed that he hasn't been more critical of that performance, especially as we were poor in our previous two away games aswell.
All the very good performances we have produced this season do not excuse playing as poorly as that against anybody, let alone Norwich. We were poor all over the pitch, had no attacking threat for 85 minutes and never tested their keeper. That is unacceptable and Keiran should say so.

Norwich City 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 15:08:38

Hladky was at fault for the goal, not because he didn't save it, but because he organises the wall. If there had been two more players in the wall the goal would've been prevented. That said, I don't blame him for the defeat. That was due to poor performances all over the pitch.

Norwich City 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 14:52:04

A third underwhelming away performance in a row. Despite having plenty of possession we didn't cause the Norwich defence any problems at all until the last 10 minutes but still didn't test the keeper. Very disappointing. Norwich didn't create much either but we gave them chances by giving away too many free kicks and giving away possession in our final third. We're not going to break the Derby day hoodoo or get promoted playing like that. We'll probably play Norwich again in the playoff semifinals so let's hope we play better then.

If you keep giving free kicks away in your final third you will concede a goal but I think we needed more players in the wall!

McKenna Nominated For Manager of the Season
at 16:07:42

It's a no brainer, Keiran has to win it.

I agree with the nominations for Player of the Season and Szmodics should win it because he plays for a team near the relegation places.

The story of our amazing season is one of a super human team effort rather than about stand out individuals, so I wouldn't expect there to be many, if any, Town players in the team of the year. That said, Davis and Morsy are both worthy of inclusion.

Ipswich Town 3-2 Southampton - Match Report
at 20:09:26

Wow, what a finish - again. This team just never gives up. If we're honest we were outplayed first half and Southampton could've been home and hosed but with only one goal in it you always feel we've still got a chance. The team spirit, belief and super subs get us the last gasp win again. Amazing

Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 20:23:29

Happy with the result of course, but not the performance. We were comfortable first half without creating many chances but the second half performance was very poor and we were fortunate to win in the end. Can't fault the effort of the players and there was some resolute defending but there was very little quality on the ball and far too many sloppy first touches. Although we've only lost 4 away games, we have looked uncomfortable for long spells in many games. Most recently we were poor at Cardiff and poor again today. We will need to be much better in our remaining away games.

Much like the Cardiff game. We've had loads of possession but not much end product and Blackburn have caused us problems with their few attacks and should be level. We must do better second half.

Ipswich Town 6-0 Sheffield Wednesday - Match Report
at 17:35:25

Well, I wasn't expecting that! I thought Wednesday would make it really difficult for us today, so delighted to be wrong. Six goals and a rare home clean sheet, the perfect response to the poor performance last Saturday. So good to really thrash somebody at home at last. Well done KM and all the players - brilliant.

I hope we don't take our foot of the gas and try to cruise through the second half. Wednesday must go for it now, so we need to be ready for that and try to win the second half as well.

Three Changes For Blues Against Owls
at 15:06:55

We have no adequate deputy for Chaplin. Hutchinson is a really good player but he is a bit lightweight for the central role. Although Tuanzebe maybe a more solid defender I would choose Clarke for home games because he is more of a threat going forward. Broadhead should definitely start because Sarmiento is much more effective as an impact sub.

McKenna: Improving Wednesday Certainly Not One of the Lower Teams in the Division
at 20:08:29

As a glass half empty man, I am worried about tomorrow. Despite winning six in a row before our poor performance against Cardiff we have only been playing well in short bursts, mostly at the end of games when our super subs make hay against tired defenders. As KM says, there are no easy games in this division and small margins determine the result of most games. Because we concede so many goals are we fortunate to have won so many games by one goal? Have we been over achieving? Has the outstanding work rate of the players now caught up with them? Whilst nothing will be decided tomorrow our performance will be a good indication of whether or not we have what it takes to go the distance. Fingers crossed.

McKenna: We Reviewed the Whole Cardiff Performance
at 18:55:27

Having reviewed the game he must have concluded that, although we should have won the game, our overall performance was only 5 out of 10. Coming after six straight wins no need to be too critical, but to have any chance of automatic promotion we must be much better in all our remaining games.
