| Blog | Through the Good Times, and the Bad at 22:25 26 Feb 2013
The bus approached, blue and white ribbons blowing out in the light summer breeze, the whole town seemingly lining the streets, inspired by the actions of a small band of footballers; footballers who now waved down at their adoring fans below, Matt Holland and Marcus Stewart unwittingly posing for a seven-year-old’s photo as they passed above little old me, stood with Mum near the town hall. |
| Blog | Marcus Evans XI at 22:14 7 Oct 2012
The headline stat of my most recent blog on here was a scary one - we’d signed 67 players since Marcus Evans had taken over the club. Now, a summer transfer and loan window later, the club have added eleven more to that total. That’s 78 players. |
| Blog | [Blog] How Many? at 21:05 28 Apr 2012
Right, I’m not going to beat about the bush, I’m just going to come out with it: over the past five seasons, Ipswich Town have signed 67 players. 67. |

Grant Leadbitter won't be at the club next season. Carlos Edwards might not be either. |
| Blog | [Blog] Who Are We? at 22:08 3 Jan 2012
Nottingham Forest won 3-1 on Monday against a Championship team. Just another, ordinary Championship team, one going through a very bad and prolonged spell of form, not dissimilar to themselves. |
| Blog | [Blog] Mercenaries at 15:05 20 Nov 2011
There were 1,500 Town fans at the City Ground yesterday. The vast majority will have forked out £28 for a ticket, a similar wedge for the coach journey or fuel bills, a few beers and a bit to eat soon starts to add up and at the end of the day they'll have seen a hole in their bank account to the tune of at least £60, if they're lucky. |
| Blog | [Blog] Betrayal at 16:46 19 Oct 2011
I cheated on Tuesday night. Cheated on the one I love. It seemed like a good idea at the time. Come on I thought, it will only be the once. It’ll be fun. I tried to justify it to myself by saying things like ‘ahh they wouldn’t mind if they found out,’ and ‘they probably won’t find out anyway.’ I was lying to myself though and I feel dirty. |

About two weeks ago I was all set to sit down and write a blog titled 'Jewell's Greatest Strength Has Become His Greatest Weakness'. |
| Blog | [Blog] The Starting XI at 19:16 16 Jun 2011
The sense of relief when Michael Chopra signed was palpable and not only have we signed a top player, but because Paul Jewell has proved he can get top players to play for him, and that the club is on the up again. His signing is a watershed – other players of a similar calibre will see the ambition. |
| Blog | [Blog] Pablo at 17:23 8 Apr 2011
Today's news that Pablo will never pull on an Ipswich shirt again was of course expected, but that tiny ray of sunshine deep inside hurt when it was extinguished. To see Pablo pull on the blue of Town just one more time would be such a treat. |
| Blog | [Blog] A(nother) New Dawn at 12:55 22 Mar 2011
Paul Jewell is quickly showing himself to be a modern interpretation on a 'proper' Ipswich Town manager. Laid back, well respected and with passing tendencies his first few months at the helm have passed in a traditional Town style; some nice wins, some nice football and some nice headlines. All very nice, all very Ipswich. |
| Blog | [Blog] The Pros and Cons of Jimmy Bullard at 17:47 25 Feb 2011
Tuesday night at QPR showed us the best and the worst of Jimmy Bullard. Our new quarter-back dictated play for 45 minutes, taking the ball in tight spaces, opening up the play intelligently, freeing Healy and Leadbitter to break through into the space between the home sides back four and midfield. |
| Blog | [Blog] Maybe Keano Was Right at 18:11 10 Feb 2011
Paul Jewell has hardly put a foot wrong since he walked into Portman Road and I don’t think many Ipswich fans could disagree with that. |
