I’m sure Leeds and Leicester fans are equally bemoaning a missed opportunity this week. Especially given you could argue, on paper at least, they both had easier fixtures than town. The facts are we’ve taken 2 more points than Leicester and 1 more than Leeds.
Driving to Plymouth on Saturday for the first time, have always got the train on previous visits. Any advice on where to park within walking distance of the ground would be much appreciated, understand the stadium car park tends to be full a couple of hours before kick off. For reference Gatwick is a bit too much of a walk.
He’s already been backed publicly by the new owners and has the chance to be at the forefront of an exciting new era at the club. The chances are he will also be given a more workable budget for next season. Surely Cook is experienced enough to understand football is a business.
Whilst the least the fans deserve is a post match press conference from the manager, especially having had to sit through that performance, I can’t help but feel this is being blown wildly out of proportion.
Surely we have ‘medical’ staff at the club who make recommendations to the manager on players fitness? You’d like to think given his record Cook would only have played him on the confirmation he was fit. KVY played 10 mins at Pompey and 45 mins today all in the space of 8 days, hardly being thrown in with 90 mins Saturday/Tuesday.
Looks like it’s Kayden Jackson’s birthday today. Be interesting to see if the club wishes him Happy Birthday on social media, as they tend to do whenever it’s a first teamers birthday, or whether given he is now a ‘reserve’ whether they won’t bother. Social media boffin still fighting the last embers of the training ground fire perhaps?
I thought he pretty much suggested the latest woes were a result of injuries. I think we all know it runs a lot deeper than that. Was quite surprised at today’s commentary. Almost felt like they were scared to criticise town at times.
Judge’s time with us has to be up there with Bullard’s second spell in terms of expectation vs reality. Has he had 1 or 2 good games? They’re so irregular I forget.
Saying we’re on a bad run but the next game is massive is becoming a worryingly regular occurrence. Especially given that game then turns out to be a massive disappointment.
TalkSPORT were running with something similar earlier in the week before the Town fans who decided to waste their money and ring the station stated it wasn’t an issue. They then quickly switched it to Norwich fans who were unhappy about the situation.
If we’ve learnt anything in the last 6 months it’s the majority of the media have no real idea about firstly the ongoing at the club and secondly the overal feeling of the fans.
Would people be happy with Grant McCann replacing Mick in the summer? He’s got Peterborough playing some decent stuff although they appear to be a little incostent results wise. Would he be worth taking a gamble on or given his lack of experience would it be too soon in his managerial career?
I agree to an extent. One thing we can rarely aim at our players is a lack of effort and based on that the negativity during games should be cut out.
My only worry is come May we are going to be even further behind those sides we should be competing with and that’s before I think about who Evans may appoint. Then are we going to have to write off the next season as a new manager beds in his new style and players? Why not give a new manager the second half of this season to do that (admittedly a new manager would be unable to do a lot of transfer business in January).
