Stoke and Birmingham Linked With Jackson
at 17:15:26

We're in a bit of a mess, aren't we? Maybe with a dose of humility we can morph into the little club that bucks the trend à la Fleetwood, Wycombe et al. Sad days, but Naarwich are now in prime position to cement a spot as the premier team in Anglia - not that I'll ever grant them that title of course.

Poor lad! What kind of training do we do that these injuries occur? Is this very bad luck or bad management? I don't know the answer.

Glass half empty for me - mostly because of the injury. If we did sign him, would he get back up to his former speed - ever?

Dyer Resigns Golf Club Membership After Alleged Racist Abuse
at 12:02:34

floridaboy: I don't really get the resignation either. Kieron seems to be suffering twofold in that case. Unless, of course, he's come round to my attitude to golf - that it's about as interesting as watching paint dry.

Isn’t this a legal matter, surely? There seem to be plenty of witnesses.

Town Among Clubs Linked With Ex-Sunderland Midfielder
at 13:34:00

Town actually did the business last season when they got in Norwood. We were all pretty impressed, and it's a pity injury probably hampered him from being at his best. So for this season, forget the midfield and get the Bristol Rovers man in up front. I'd be happy with that.

Lambert: We Have to Learn From Last Season
at 16:09:43

The worst thing we could do would be to think that the same team would get things right this time round. We need to move on and not rely on those who underperformed. For me, this development would mean a more settled first eleven including at the very least a new, tough, seasoned striker who could get his head on the ball and a new, tough, seasoned centre back who could do the same. Then I hope that our younger talents will have gained experience and come back stronger, that Norwood and KVJ are fully fit, and that we phase in one or two more yoofs as appropirate: so among others, I would expect Wolf, Downes (hopefully), El Miz, Dobra. McGavin, and Lankester to contribute significantly to the rejuvenated look. We move on. COYB!

There is no doubt we need more fire power up front. I'd like this rumour to be true, but past experience doesn't make me all that optimistic.

TWTD Questionnaire 2019/20
at 10:34:16

Living abroad, there are many questions I just leave out ("N/A"). It's a moot point as to whether the questions should be changed from previous years. On the one hand, keeping the same questions means comparisons can be made with the past. On the other hand, perhaps new issues come up that it is interesting to examine. Anyway, I agree with Cat above: the only "very good" score gave was for the TWTD website. Many thanks to Phil et al. for their hard work in these difficult times.

Woolfenden Signs New Deal
at 13:09:21

Brilliant! The best thing now is that he stays for at least a year or two more and helps to get us back up. But even if he doesn't, then he's done right by the club in that we should be able to get more money for him now with a contract to back up the negotiations. But I'd also make him captain (ChrisFelix) with the potential to become an ITFC legend.

I’m willing to give PL another shot. He didn’t get the results on the pitch (might have done with just a little more finance) but he created a much better atmosphere ariund the club.

Anyone with special issues, or with close family with special issues, should be given dispensation to opt out if they need to. CS still has a lot to offer the club, even if all of it is not on the pitch. A family club needs this type of person.
