| News Comment | McKenna: Proud of the Performance in Brilliant Game at 19:56:33
Extremely entertaining game and we could well have won, although we could also have lost, although that would have been unfair. That the boys can put in this effort at this stage of the season bodes well for what is to come. Boro are no mugs, but we were the better team. Of course, most fans would prefer a dull game and three points, but if that is not on offer, then today still had so many plus points. It's still very open. All depends on how L and L react in their last few games. I can see Soton creeping into the top two plus one other - hopefully us! K McK is so balanced in his assessment as well. Worrying about whether or not is was a penaly "is never high on my checklist." What a refreshing change from 95% of the other blinkered managers who only ever see one side of things. COYB! |
| News Comment | Leaders Leicester Lose at Plymouth at 06:13:47
Let's not be like the player who goes mad celebrating the first goal after 12 minutes when there is so much more of the game to play, and is then left with egg on his face at the end. All we need to concentrate on is winning our own games. As others have said, there will be more twists and turns to come. He who laughs last, laughs best. But I can't deny I'm pleased with the way Leicester are playing at the moment. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-0 Watford - Match Report at 08:55:40
I must have been watching another match. I thought that we chased and harried and played well against a good team, albeit lacking that final spark that has seen us put the ball in the net so many times this season. Yes, one or two players looked off the pace, but there was no lack of effort. We could easily have scored at the end and everyone would be happy. The ball just didn't run for us this time. All the games from now on will be mega difficult, but we still have a chance, and we have K McK. COYB! |
| News Comment | Eleven Arrests at Derby at 09:56:51
We have two massively difficult away games (Hull and Coventry), two teams who have a lot to play for, namely a place in the playoffs. If we can do well in those, we will really show that we are promotion material. Let's wait and see how our rivals do as well, and how the whole season pans out. COYB! |
| News Comment | Norwich City 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 14:55:47
A lacklustre performance today, for reasons unknown. Naarwich looked up for it and were the better team. I hope we haven't run out of steam, but we must press on and see what happens in the last five games. The Budgies will be celebrating tonight, just as we would if we'd won, but let's see where both teams are at the end of the season and after the playoffs. Keep the faith! |
| News Comment | McKenna Nominated For Manager of the Season at 08:28:28
I'm not much bothered about these nominations, but I agree with everyone on here. There is clearly only one manager who deserves the accolade, and he belongs to ITFC. As regards player of the year - who cares really? We have other things to think about and it is our squad that is a superb example of togetherness and organisation, without focusing on any one particular player. I wonder how that came about? Oh, yes! It must be down to the manager! |
| News Comment | Morsy: This One Was a Little Bit Special at 07:33:26
I don't really have a "player of the season" as I think they all deserve this title, but if I had to choose, Morsy would be a very strong candidate because of his incredible consistency. |

Absolutely phenomenal! What a team! What an atmosphere! What a manager! This was right up there with the playoffs for the PL and the golden George Burley years. |
| News Comment | McKenna: Sometimes You Have to Show Your Other Side at 06:23:00
My random thoughts: Fantastic away support. That little Ipswich can take 4000+ away on a Good Friday is amazing. Even Leeds, which is probably ten times bigger than Ipswich, don't manage much more than that. We rode our luck a bit in the match, but I don't get all the whining from the Blackburn camp. I think the decisions against them were fair. Hdlaky was distracted by the offside player in front of him, and as many have said - what about our penalty? Moaning won't change the result anyway. I'm a bit worried about the illness in the camp. That may well explain the off-key performance in the second half. Hope two days will be enough to re-charge the batteries. COY super B! |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 6-0 Sheffield Wednesday - Match Report at 19:44:38
Great result, and a wonderful attacking display. But I still worry a bit about our defence. They look a bit shaky when anyone runs directly at them, and if Wednesday had been better, they might have had a couple of goals themselves. Still, it's the result that counts, and all round, we made the Owls look second-rate. |
| News Comment | Cardiff City 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 16:42:22
We were a bit flat today, but by no means outplayed. What happened is what we have done ourselves to many teams this season, so we need to suck it up and move on. There is still time for plenty of ups and downs before the end of the season. And our fantastic fans won the stadium noise battle hands down as far as I could hear. COYB,! |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 3-2 Bristol City - Match Report at 07:09:59
ITFC games need to come with a health warning! The level of expectation and excitement now matches what those of old enough to remember felt 20+ years ago under the great George Burley and our foray into the Premier League. I don't know if we will do it this time, but we are giving it one hell of a go! COYB! |
