Lambert: £10m-Rated Woolfenden Still Just as Laid-Back
at 16:01:26

Unfortunately, PL is probably saying it as it is here. At some point we're going to lose the Wolf. It just remains to be seen when and for how much.

McGavin and Drinan at Ayr United

If all goes well, I expect to see McGavin in the first team squad next season. Don't think Drinan will make it, though.

Bart Happy to Sign Permanently at Millwall
at 10:46:04

I'll miss Bart on the "sentimental" level, as he adhered himself to the fans, but I don't think he will be missed at all on the pitch. We have two very good replacements. Time to move on.

Lambert: Good Point But We Should Have Had a Penalty
at 05:11:53

Agreed, Mr Lambert: we were the better team, although Oxford were pretty good too; and yes, it certainly looked like a penalty on iFollow. Carry on playing like this and we’ll be ok.

Lambert: Absolutely No Chance Whatsoever Woolfenden Will Leave for £3m
at 05:04:57

Interpreting exactly what PL means can be a bit difficult at times, but here seems to be the message we all want to hear: we’re not giving away our prize asset for peanuts. Somehow I have confidence that what PL says goes in this instance. Is the Wolf any less valuable than Webster? I don’t think so, so £25 m should be the absolute bottom line when the time comes - plus a bit more for inflation.

Blades Linked With £3m Woolfenden Move
at 10:35:03

Surely it would be a very poor financial decision (not to mention a sporting one) to let him go for peanuts when his potential price is so much more. But past experiences don't fill me with much confidence. PL clubs get masses of TV and advertising money. It's about time some of the former was more fairly distributed among the 60 clubs of 90 in the top four divisions (BBC News, 14 January) currently in debt.

Garbutt: There Will Be Discussions With Everton and Ipswich, We’ll Just Have to Wait and See
at 19:30:30

The obvious answer is to get promoted; then we can offer him better terms. I’m pretty sure a middle/lower Championship side will sign him in the summer if we miss out on going up.

PS: Not everyone likes PL's rotation system, but I think we can trust him to pick a good loanee. Garbutt is a prime example and Wilson hade been pretty reliable too.

Sounds a solid move in our present position. Welcome, Josh, I've a feeling you'll do well for us. Potential for development too åt only 21.

Jackson: Best Win of the Season
at 06:46:44

Pleased with the performance and generally agree with the need for a more settled side, but we’ll need a bit of flexibility if we are going to get Freddie & Teddy back in action - not wholesale changes, though.

Exeter City 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 20:11:41

I note a lot of ”sounded like” posts, which suggests the poster didn’t actually see the game (no criticism intended). When all you’ve got to go on is the result, then it does look pretty awful. But in reality, it was a very even game, and we could just as easily have won as Exeter. What I find more worrying, though, is that we were playing their B team.

Exeter City 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 17:34:32

Could have gone either way today, but that said, we should be beating a B side from a division below. Good showings from both Freddie & Teddy are the only real positives. But Al Miz was also good, and Woolf looks the part, except for a few lapses. Hoping we can gel as a team and turn this round sooner rather than later - but it is all very frustrating at the moment. At least we know all we have to concentrate on now is the league.

Town Visit Exeter Targeting Wembley Final
at 10:14:51

I’m up for this game - hope the players and fans are too. It’s never good to go into a game with a doubt about whether it matters. I want to win them all! (See Liverpool FC for the right attitude.) Could be quite an exciting team today- maybe better than our “first” eleven — whatever that is. COYB!
