Pretty sure he’ll get some game time tomorrow. Why not Norwood, Jackson AND Keane together?

Ipswich Town 0-0 Doncaster Rovers - Match Report
at 20:07:10

The performance against Doncaster was a bit disappointing, but I think we are beginning to realise that even with what is approaching our full squad available (after all, no team is likely to not be missing some players at any point) this season is not going to be a walk in the park. There are 6 or 7 decent teams, and we should be one of them. Hopefully, our large squad will pay dividends later in the season when all teams will accumulate injuries. At least I can look forward to games now, whereas under Mick it had become more of a duty than a pleasure. But PL has warned building will take time, and we may need to be patient.

Model of Beattie Statue Unveiled
at 08:46:31

If you read the article, it does state that the face isn't a priority at this stage; the prototype is too small to go into detail. I think the finished product will be much more of a likeness. Sean Hedges-Quinn really is a talented guy, and going on Sir Alf and Sir Bobby, I am backing him to get it right.

Taylor: A Fantastic Exercise
at 10:30:21

Don't agree, Linkboy. I thought it was a really entertaining game with a lot of technical ability from both teams. That's not to say that this performance can automatically be transferred to the "first" team, but the signs are good.

Lambert: I Don't See the Point of the Tournament
at 06:31:52

Also agree this is a pointless competition beset with somewhat complicated rules and regulations. However, in this case, for us, it’s a good opportunity to give some more players game time.

Emmanuel Joins Bolton
at 18:21:08

The article states that his "Blues' contract to the end of the season was cancelled by mutual consent." Therefore, it ain't a loan. We won't be seeing Josh back at PR - until we play Bolton, that is.

Downes: We Couldn't Have Asked for a Better Start
at 09:07:15

Flynn's development is beginning to outdistance the others he "grew up" with. Already a good player and a likely first choice on the team sheet, with every prospect of going on to even bigger and better things. He is a player you now take notice of in games and is beginning to impose himself on the action in a serious way. Well done, Flynn! Keep it up!

Rotherham Boss: Emmanuel Move Unlikely But Not Impossible
at 08:58:55

Unfortunately, it doesn't look as if Josh has a future with ITFC. Strange, because he apparently did well at Rotherham, but none of the managers he has played under with us seem to have rated him all that highly. He won't develop as third or fourth choice with us, so I hope he gets a chance to establish himself somewhere else. Pity we can't get small fee.

Ipswich Town 3-0 Shrewsbury Town - Match Report
at 18:37:36

Comfortable win, although I suppose I'm being greedy when I say I'd like to see us really dominate teams. Shrewsbury could have had a couple of goals and then things might have been different. But they didn't, and maybe, as someone said above, we might have had another gear if things had been tighter. Downes is turning into a fine, mature-looking player, and Vincent-Young looks the real deal at right back. Many good things, including the support, so onwards and upwards. As Lambert says, you have to earn it - and we did. COYB!

Lambert: We Must Show Right Attitude and Mentality at Bolton
at 16:27:27

Agree it won't be easy. Bolton yoofs (if that is what it turns out to be) could well be up for it and make it hard for us with their enthusiasm. PL definitely decided to ignore the point made in the interview about Bolton's young side: you can't compare their under 18s to the team we should be able to put out. Firstly, our young players have a lot more experience than the Bolton yoofs, and secondly, they are surrounded by others with much more experience.I suspect this was just PL trying to keep expectations in check and make sure no-one gets over-confident.
