Young, 20 years old, number 9 in Hammarby - Swedish Top League. A player with a goal in him, works hard, causes problem for established defenders in the league. Think this is a player to have a look at, someone with a good value increase in him. Just saying. |

Is there anyone on here that have ang insights on Joel Mumbongo at Accrington? I am asking for a swedish club that have been sent some information but they want to broaden their information before they go over to watch him. Strengths? Weeknesses? |
| Forum Thread | Joe Royles jacket at 14:50 21 Aug 2021
I met my wife 22 years ago while skiing in Chamonix. She is english and I am swedish. Her family are from west London and my brother in law favours Chelsea. Parts of her family also have Norwich blood in their veines (but that is something we don't talk about for obvious reasons). They found it hard to understand how I could be an Ipswich fan, when I had the chance to pick any team in the world to follow. I tried to explain about Bobby Robson, the fantastic players and the amazing football we played in the eighties. I have also explained that I liked our blue and white strip, I liked Pioneer (and my first stereo was a Pioneer solely because they sponsored my team). On top of that the swedish commentators found it very hard to pronounce IPSWICH the right way which I found hilarious. Most of my mates fancied Liverpool and I wanted to be different. All this for death ears - they still don't fully understand it. One day my brother in law was on the underground in London and saw a chap with a jacket with an Ipswich badge on and got interested. He went up to him and asked where one could purchase those jackets. The guy replied that you couldn't - this was a special jacket because it uesed to belong to Joe Royle - the former Ipswich manager. My brother in law couldn´t believe his ears and insisted on bying the jacket from this chap. To this day he refuses to say how much he payed for it - but it was my christmas present in 2007 or 2008 (cant remember which year), and either someone on here pulled of a great deal from my brother in law or it actually was Joe Royles jacket. Regardless of what is the truth - I am now sitting by the computer following todays game online with the jacket on and hoping wearing it could be the turning point for our season ahead. COYB! |
| Forum Thread | Advice please at 09:41 16 Mar 2021
I would like to buy a Bobby Robson biography, but realised that there are quite a few out there. The one i thought seemed the best is "Farewell But Not Goodbye". Anyone that has any ideas or recommendations? Thanks |

Could it be that the reason we havent seen a shift in manager is BECAUSE there might be something in the rumours of ME Looking to sell ? [Post edited 21 Feb 2021 16:30]

Could it be that Rhodes is thought of a replacement for Norwood (since there is scottish interest in him)? |
| Forum Thread | Rotation a good thing? at 11:23 12 Jan 2020
PL has been critiziced for his continued rotation policy. But perhaps he has seen the bigger picture all along and not focused on short time results. It is a long season, and it is what happens in may that counts. Maybe he thinks that Huws, Judge, Bishop, Keane, Sears etc are his prefered players that he sees as his first choice in the long run. But they have all been struggeling with bad injuries and some of them have not had a full pre-season etc. How would he give them a chance to improve if he didnt slowly but surely gave them playing time on the pitch? And at some point the cup games are not enough, he had to give them time in league games as well. Maybe now that they (huws, judge, keane) seem to have successfully managed to overcome the difficulties of coming back and slowly coming back to the standard that they once had - we will see a ever more settled team over the season. While Bishop and Sears still need to be nursed into the team over the coming weeks/months. I for one am very positive to what is to come, and believe we will have a very strong finish to the season. COYB. |
| Forum Thread | Main problem for me at 09:12 8 Jul 2019
I kind of look forward to see our youth players developing into the players they can be, and am well up for giving them a chance. The main problem with this though is that IF we don't get out of this division (in the right direction preferably) some of the more talanted youth as well as our "star" players such as Judge and Bishop might be tempted away for next season. Then we are properly screwed. In my opinion we really need to invest a little this year to give ourselves a real chance to promotion. 2-4 quality (for this division) players might be what we need, and that includes a centre back and a target man. I suppose we all know this already. [Post edited 8 Jul 2019 9:15]

| Forum Thread | The great escape starts on saturday! at 20:31 8 Dec 2018
On saturday Wigan comes to visit PR. A Wigan that are very week away. This ofcourse puts extended preasure on us to go out and win a win-able game, at the same time they probably see this as a win-able game too, which might work in our favour. I see a turn in fortunes for us. We will win on saturday, which will lift the spirit a fair bit, and that will help us in the next few games. And in January we will hopefully have some decent re-inforcements. Here is what I have seen in my crystal ball: Wigan Athletic (H) Win 2-0 Sheffield United (H) Win 2-1 Queens Park Rangers (A) Draw 1-1 |

Good player, want's to find a new club outside of Sweden again. He was previously with AZ Alkmaar and CSKA Moscow (one of their better players), but suffered with some sort of stumach problem, moved back to his old Swedish club Kalmar. Now seems fine again, and want to go out in Europe again before he is too old. Very good player!! |
| Forum Thread | Rather loans then permanents at 21:13 23 Jan 2017
I rather go for loans right now for two good reasons: 1. Prices are so inflated now in this window. Not good value for Money. 2. IF we change management in the summer, I rather give the new manager a real chance to buy players that suit him/her, rather then inherit players and have no or Little budget to manouver himself/herself. Try to bring in enough cover with loans to survive this mess. Why don't we seem to look abroad? Not only Premier League clubs to loan players from. Plenty of good clubs across Europe... |

Striker Kujovic can apparently leave Gent for free according to Swedish newspapers. Could be the big striker we need/want... |
