Only 27 players signed in the whole division today, the majority of which were on loan. The only big money signings were by the clubs relegated from the Premier League last season. We got 3 excellent loan signings in addition to Hirst and Luongo, during the whole window, and maybe a freebie if the trial works out.
Having a settled squad and obvious first team not in our favour either as anyone signing knows they will be on the bench.

If Bonne had had a half decent second half of last season, Town might have picked him up, but he was very average. |

Rotherhan rearranged things at half time and nullified Morsy, Burns and Aluko in the 2nd half. I think we miss Evans' alongside Morsy. Thompson has been a massive disappointment, no better than Penney, and neither is good enough! Since Bonne lost his mojo and Jackson was injured, we haven't looked like scoring goals. On the plus side, Baggott did well, and Woofy, Donacien and Walton are quality at this level. |

Excellent first half. Coulson injury was a double blow, he was playing well and with no left back on the bench it disrupted the shape of the team.

Town were clearly the better team. Penalty was a joke. Ball looked over the line, and we could have had another penalty earlier for a handball. Chambers looked very solid, and Nolan made some important tackles. Wingers both looked good at times, but a lot of the crosses were poor. |

Peaky69 - I quite agree. I've been using Ipswich Player for a number of years, firstly in Sweden and now in New Zealand. Whilst it was disappointing to get up in the middle of the night only to get the second half, commentated by the Palace idiots, it was a rare glitch in what is usually an excellent service. |

Reminds me of a story a friend of mine told me a few years ago.
Old Trafford, 90th minute back in the days when there was only 1 ball. Utd were one goal up in a tight game near the end of the season. Mark Hughes through on goal, but at a bad angle, smashes the ball into row Z, when the fans started grumbling he turned to them tapped his wrist and winked.
It's not about cheating, it's about winning!

I've also complained to both, here's my email to the FA
Dear Sir/Madam
I am writing to express my outrage at the decsion, not only to uphold the 3 game ban given to John Stead on 26th December, but to increase it to a 4 game ban.
The tackle was 1 footed and not in any way dangerous or malicious. Even the opposition manager stated publically that it should only have been a yellow card.
I understand the FA's need to support referees, however this was an awful decision.
With regards to inceasing the ban, I believe the club had every right to appeal this terrible piece of refereeing and to add another match ban is beyond contempt.
I look forward to hearing how this decision is in any way justified
