Odd how some people want to wax lyrical about EX town players, and not get behind the players we now have, who may well develop into the next generation of heroes. Cam was great for us, and that can never be taken away from him, but let's maybe focus on our current squad and get behind them. |

You were noticeably silent after our win on Friday. So I guess you needed to find something else to get your claws (webbed hands) into to peddle your negative rhetoric. It's almost like your posts are generated with an AI BOT that has been seeded with poor, biased data. |

"Incidentally, I watched the Bundesliga highlights. And they have a graphic showing the speed at which the ball is travelling if a player leathers one in.... " The TownTV GeniusIQ game replay shows this. The full game replay isn't out for the Sheffield game yet, so can't say how fast it was. Here's how it's shown from the Derby game.. |
 | Forum Reply | We like 2.33 XG against blades! when was the last game we exceeded that? at 09:13 16 Sep 2025
Even taking the penalty out at Derby, it was only just less. Our stats are looking good, as each game goes by, and if that continues, over the course of a season, it will end in results. Derby game : Azon and Akpom by SuffolkPunchFC 31 Aug 23:37And yet the xG was ~3, way higher than every other game except Bristol, who scored 4 with an xG of 3.5.
The non-penalty xG was only 0.7 lower, still higher by some margin than almost all other teams yesterday. And when did set-piece goals become worth less than open play goals? |

You're likely saying this in light of wanting to protect our retention of KmK. The flipside would be being stuck with Paul Hirst. I can't see clubs agreeing to this ever. They want/need the to option to dump a lame coach/manager when they need to, otherwise it can drag the entire club down. |

Shock horror - top manager goes to watch a PL game as part of his research, and due to being know / having relationships with others in the ‘industry’, gets shown some respect and has some chats with his peers whilst he’s there. Some of you lot will find anything to be anxious about. |

No, they were very short. It was just very delayed in opening for me - no queue appeared until 9:45, but then tickets bought by 10:03 |

Still showing 'Coming soon', and no queue. |

Many PL games may be repetitive moves and plays, often neutralising each other, but at least most games involve playing the football. That can’t be said for the majority of Championship games, where the football gathers more icicles than blades of grass, or the opposition gather the player rather than the ball. I’ll take the former anytime, and it also involves competing at the top, not accepting 2nd tier mediocrity. Each league has the odd exception, but for me the PL is more about playing the ball. |

I agree, the wording in the EFL handbook appears to be a tautology. If you read the definitions at the beginning of the handbook, and look up Club Developed, I’d say this adds clarity. I’d copy and paste the relevant sections, but I’m away from home on my phone, so it’s non-trivial to do so For this referring to AI / bot responses, they’re wrong 😎 |

I agree that the balance is wrong, but I’m just pointing out what the rules are as written. Lots of people confuse Homegrown and Club Developed, and what the actual requirement for matchday/squad list are. It’s all in the EFL handbook for checking |
 | Forum Reply | Club developed player at 06:41 13 Sep 2025
Except it not matchday but entire declared squad. Article 34.11 of the current EFL rules. |

That’s a lot of hate and anger in one post. Not good for your mental health - you may want to stay away from our games if it does that to you. |

For someone who allegedly refused to learn to speak English up the road, he’s having a lot of chats with other teammates. Maybe the entire squad quickly learnt Spanish |
