Norwood treating himself with a hair transplant
at 12:40 13 Jun 2019

I'd imagine it could be true, he been wanting to get it done for a while now but it needs to be done out of season and us TRFC boys been to playoff finals for the last 3 years on the spin so he not had a chance too. He managed to get his teeth whitening done instead though haha

Compensation for broken wrist
at 11:50 8 Jun 2019

I might be completely wrong, but my understanding of the rule is that the club basically get the players wages and treatment cost covered. No compensation as such, just no outlay until he recovered.

Quality player than John Stones.
at 22:40 6 Jun 2019

All 3 of Hollands goals were basically his fault. Lost the young Dutch lad from corner for their first, shocking just shocking for their 2nd, and Hollands 3rd he played a woeful ball into barkleys feet on the edge of our own box leading to another goal. There's a reason he is only backup at city. He shouldn't have played as he don't play for them, same as Delph, was his first start today since boxing day! Bad calls from Southgate

Norwood confirmation?
at 09:02 1 Jun 2019

For him, that's what I'm worried about. He is loved here at tranmere but when he leaves we all no he is leaving because he has to really. Played his entire career in none league football pretty much so at the age of 28, you've got your last chance to get your last and by far biggest contract he has to take the offer. I just hope the pressure don't get to him. Also last season we weren't seen as title contenders as was our first season back in the football league so teams attacked us leaving space in behind. Mist teams playing Ipswich this season will sit back so will be much harder for him to find space

Norwood confirmation?
at 08:43 1 Jun 2019

I'm a tranmere fan, we simply don't have the funds to pay him anywhere near 4k a week, even now we are in league one. When he signed the contract we was in the conference. He will be one of our highest paid players yes, but only on around 1.5k a week.
I wish him all the best at Ipswich, but don't expect him to be your savour, last season was the highest level he has ever played so if he going up another division with a club expected to go straight back up, don't be surprised if the goals stop flowing. Happens so many times with players coming up the divisions

It is going to be a tough League next year (n/t)
at 17:25 26 May 2019

It's not as such the quality the opposition do or don't have but the change in style of play you may find difficult. Plus to many clubs you'll be seen as one of the big boys in the division so teams won't come to play for the win, but hold out for a point. Can get frustrating!
I think use will do well but it won't be easy

Regarding Mr Norwood
at 11:28 26 May 2019

With us having spent a few years in the nonleague it hit us hard, we were never paying anywhere near what use can/could, we just don't have the funds. I can tell you for sure he will be on between £1.5k and £2k a week at us currently. Even after promotion if we could offer him double, it won't be near enough to keep him. I hope he goes to itfc. Seems a good fit for him, I have seen a few ppls comments that he is similar to grant holt, he isn't anything like grant holt, polar opposite I'd say

Thanks, I'm sure we will adapt reasonably well. Just out of curiosity, if you were to sign norewood what is the expected wage of your strikers? given he does sign it will be on a free he should be able to demand a bit extra as there's no transfer fee to be paid.

Regarding Mr Norwood
at 10:05 26 May 2019

Tranmere fan here. Looking forward to playing you lot next season following our promotion. I live in Suffolk so I have obviously heard the rumours regarding Norwood. Firstly, good luck to the man whichever way he decides to go. It will be his first and last significant contract of his career, he is 28 now so ihold no grudges if he decides to go and earn a good package elsewhere. He has been sensational for us the last 3 seasons scoring 20+, 20+ and 30+. However, we have built a team to get the best out of him and we've reaped the rewards so it's not a given he will score as many for Ipswich, plus he has never played higher than league two. If I was him, I'd personally go with who offers the most money, secure you and your famillys future James my friend. You'll always be a legend and welcome back at prenton Park anytime playing or not playing!
