Who’s Staying? Who’s Going?
at 11:56 2 Jun 2025

Summer of transfer and squad speculation incoming, yay!

On the West Ham/End of Season TWTV Video Verdict - the final show of 24/25 - the team used the below graphic to talk through likely squad changes:

https://flic.kr/p/2r8eWWZ

Probably only 17-19 ‘definite’ players retained. And a squad of 23-26 core players the aim.
Baggott and Harness were in the correct columns given today’s news.

Phil feels Tuanzebe may well stay, Kallum less convinced. Central Midfield the key area, but hard to get players with the right profile and potential to step up to Premier League. Unsure on Harry Clarke. Futures of Humphreys and Boniface also discussed.

Broadhead is surely one for Town in Championship - despite original list having him as surplus, causing some raised eyebrows on X. Although was McKenna fully convinced by him over last summer, or was it just the injury?

Anyway what’s your view? Who’s Staying, Who’s Going?

Premier League statues - quite the mixed bag?!
at 12:07 27 Apr 2025

As discussed by Phil and Jim on this week’s Video Verdict (below), the St James’ Park bronze of Sir Bobby is not the finest! Ronaldo statuesque.

Our own Sir Bobby statue to us being far superior. With perhaps the Beattie and Sir Alf figures better still.

There have been many other bad renditions seen on the road this season - including Shearer yesterday. Jury out on the shiny shiny metal ones at the Etihad. Some ‘mid’ renditions at the Emirates including Tony Adams. The trinity statue at Old Trafford perhaps the best scene?

Wikipedia have a list:

What’s the best/worst you’ve seen?

City fanatic Sean Riley - insights on City season, prediction and cheat code
at 16:18 19 Jan 2025

We’ve an interesting pre-match interview - down by the marina - with Man City fanatic and author Sean Riley (was he also in the Happy Mondays?!).

He unpacks their season and current rebuild. Links Pep to Sir Bobby.

Give it a watch tonight alongside the Video Verdict of the match.

He predicts 1-1 (we’d take that) - caveat he thought Haaland and Dias may not start.

His cheat code is they are slow in central midfield and their defence cannot handle pace and direct runners.

Hopefully Clarke, then Philogene and Broadhead can get service. And get at them.

Billy Grant (Beesotted) view of life in Premier League
at 21:47 1 Nov 2024

If you didn’t get the chance to view Billy Grant (BeeSotted fanzine) on TWTV describing life in the Premier League, and their move to the GTech Community Stadium, give it a go below.

Interestingly he picks out their early home win against Arsenal as key to their successful first season.

Hopefully Town’s first 3 points can come tomorrow.

If you look in the comments you’ll see hyperlinks to each section, including Billy’s, of what was a bumper show!

Alan Lee gives his thoughts on Town’s striker department to TWTV
at 08:53 1 Sep 2024

Former Town striker Alan Lee provides some good insights on Ali Al Hamadi, George Hirst and Liam Delap as part of this week’s TWTV Video Verdict.

During a week where many questioned whether Town had strengthened enough in that department, Delap’s first Town goal - a blaster against Fulham - seemed important.

Give it a watch - would you describe Alan and Liam as ‘rangy’ strikers? and just how good was that atmosphere after the goal?!
