Probably only 17-19 ‘definite’ players retained. And a squad of 23-26 core players the aim. Baggott and Harness were in the correct columns given today’s news.
Phil feels Tuanzebe may well stay, Kallum less convinced. Central Midfield the key area, but hard to get players with the right profile and potential to step up to Premier League. Unsure on Harry Clarke. Futures of Humphreys and Boniface also discussed.
Broadhead is surely one for Town in Championship - despite original list having him as surplus, causing some raised eyebrows on X. Although was McKenna fully convinced by him over last summer, or was it just the injury?
Anyway what’s your view? Who’s Staying, Who’s Going?
Thanks Homer for doing all the post game 3 words - the responses have been perfect in supporting game summary discussions on TWTV.
Thanks to all those that have contributed through the season - a few regular ‘winners’ emerged.
Below are those contributors to the End of Season Video Verdict Show with Adam Tanner and DissBoyITFC - it’s a bumper show (that means long!) so time hyperlinks in comments if you want to skip to content.
Thanks again - I’d go “Project Gap-Bridging Begins” (is this cheating?)

Thanks Libero, appreciate the feedback. Unsure on plans for next season as yet.
Been a tough season to start in given the results. But positive feedback, and appreciation of the locations, being posted on matchday, the specials (Marcus Parrot, Mr Drone, Nick Ames), Homer123 3-words segment, ex-players and Phil/Kallum view of games and presser insights. It’s finding the right space alongside the excellent content on ITFC such as Blue Monday.
Phil and Team do put up shorts on X, Insta and Facebook, see below, not as yet on Reels or Shorts. Portrait layout a factor. Will investigate further.
… guard of honour outrage, unpacking of attacking issues, Jack Taylor insights, season best away pie scoring… and plenty more discussion.
Lots to unpack in this week’s Video Verdict, after an extremely disappointing result at the King Power. Oh and ‘3 words’ debate from GainsboroughBlue, FelixBlue4 and Ryorry.
Give it a go below, and use the hyperlinks in the YouTube comments from the running order if you don’t fancy the whole show.

… we’ve actually done better in terms of current points than our set-up and approach deserves!
Adam gives a full review of the season stats in comparison to other Premier teams - see his analysis in last segment of thisweek’s Video Verdict (see below link from 33:30)).
We’re 9th overall for chance conversion, and 10th for outperforming our XG - rare high rankings, as we sit 16-20th for many metrics. Perhaps suggesting we should have scored less than our attacking play deserved.
We’ve also done well at defending blocks, blocked shots, aerials - perhaps meaning heroics have kept us in some games.
We’ve simply not done enough with the ball going forward - we may have been good at taking chances, but we just haven’t done enough to get into the final third to create enough of them. 20th for progressive passing (into final third) and 20th for dribbling in final third.
Combine that with 5th in the table for errors and 4th for penalties conceded (rankings you want to be low in!) it’s not hard to see why we’re 18th, perhaps 19th come the final table.
Kallum from the TWTV team gives his view on Omari future on this week’s Video Verdict as a response to your 3 Word summary on the topic (on Homer123 thread). Second segment of show below.
He’s a little more optimistic on keeping him, given age, perhaps a lack of end product through the season, and the slightly higher release clause.
It was the quite the party on Goodison Road after the game, around The Winslow Hotel.
This was basically an open house party in a terraced home, and has a tradition of getting players and pundits in to sign a wall in the hall. Liam and Ben Godfrey invited in. Hundreds of signatures. So nothing to do with signing for Everton, and we imagine Everton will be quite some way down the list of suitors.
Some discussion and a video of the wall on this week’s Video Verdict, in the second segment View from the Press Box.
As discussed by Phil and Jim on this week’s Video Verdict (below), the St James’ Park bronze of Sir Bobby is not the finest! Ronaldo statuesque.
Our own Sir Bobby statue to us being far superior. With perhaps the Beattie and Sir Alf figures better still.
There have been many other bad renditions seen on the road this season - including Shearer yesterday. Jury out on the shiny shiny metal ones at the Etihad. Some ‘mid’ renditions at the Emirates including Tony Adams. The trinity statue at Old Trafford perhaps the best scene?
Thanks to the contributions below from forum posters on Homer’s thread. Generated some good discussion on TWTV.
Do give this week’s Video Verdict a view (and a like/comment if you fancy it). Some good insights from Kallum and Phil, including McKenna’s presser mood.
