The problem is that Freddie Sears is played on the left but has no confidence to use his left foot much. He made an excellent run and was put through by Waghorn but having gone by the keeper he should have immediately shot at goal with his left foot. If I was his coach I would insist that he practice and practice with his left until he was confident to shoot and pass with that foot. The benefits of being two footed are plain to see with Huws. He used his right foot to cross for Waghorn's header and against Newcastle last season he steamed in to score his goal with his left foot. |

The problem is we are now in a position where we are totally dependent on McGoldrick for the skill to create any real attacking threat. Let's hope that Huws and Bishop are soon fully fit again. We found out last season that having a replacement target man for Murphy was crucial if we were going to seriously compete for a play-off position. Nydam and Downes are talented youngsters but they are not yet mature enough to build the team around. |

Well done lads. Garner appears to be a good buy. If we are able to really get people like Bishop to stay fully fit and get back to form then we will have a good squad provided we get the new striker whom Mick says he is confident of signing.
