I see the rationale, however, if you were Muric what would you think if you are selected for the reserves? Does that mean your dropped and won't be playing against Fulham? I'm sure that the communication at the club is very good and it depends on how those individual conversations go. We can only speculate, and then speculate further once the team sheet is announced. 🤣 Agree though. I expect he would want a solid game to build understanding with teammates and confidence both ways. |

@Phil/Gav/Mark - Can we have a pinned and locked thread with all the transfers in and out with cost e.t.c There has been much activity and it would be good to see all the changes in one place. Cheers |

They are also buying a Croatian for €11 million, apparently. Sounds like a complete rebuild on the cards there. Some current players getting the huff and flouncing off. Throwup must be rattling cages or the players think he is a joke. Either way, I can't see them pushing for play offs this year. |

It's 11 v 11. It's football. Strange things happen in sport. Morecombe beat us last season and we were all over them for the entire game. Relax. Enjoy the game. You never know what will happen. |

Necessity may have forced certain selections due to the sticky transfer window, but there are also positives to be taken from the performance and those that played from multiple perspectives. . I suspect this early season will be about who can step up and who can't, but nobody will be guaranteed place in the squad. Too much money involved now for sentiment to play any part going forward. |
 | Forum Thread | Masterful strategy today by McKenna at 15:04 17 Aug 2024
Playing many of the League 1 players that got us to the Prem is a nod to their effort and reward to the players. The game had an exhibition feel Iin some respects.. A thanks to fans, players and the journey. Get the sentiment out of the way early has done a few things: 1. Given the players the opportunity to play at the top against one of top teams in England. 2. Shown the players that changes have to happen and the core that got us here may not be regulars going forward. 3. Seen off potential supporter base whining about giving the promotion players more of a chance. I think most supporters understood our promotion side didn't have the quality in depth to compete in the EPL and accept football can be harsh. We are in the big time now and there will many changes that players and fans may not like, but there will be ruthlessness needed to adjust and survive which may not involve the exciting football which we have been spoilt. McKenna now has a free hand to put any sentiment to bed and build a different Ipswich. Today is no indicator for the rest of the season and I think many others are as equally excited about the development we are to witness in this next chapter. COYB. |

Yaxley has served his purpose. Farage and co. will sacrifice him, but use the collateral from these riots to insideously continue to fan the fascist rhetoric. Much like the soviet/Putin/nazi/any authoritarian regime, uses up people and disposes of them when their usefulness has been achieved. |

Surely WBA to win the play-offs. Keep the Championship nice and competitive next season. 😀 |
 | Forum Reply | Do we want Nodge to win the play offs at 18:18 7 May 2024
Just don't care about them. They are an irrelevance to our journey. Whether they go up or stay on the Championship the result is the same. We are building. It's an exciting time to see what happens. Even if we were to be relegated next season, which I don't think will happen, we will be a stronger club moving forward towards adversity. Our future is currently bright. Enjoy it. 🤩 |

Presumably our pre-season friendlies will be a bit different this year with higher tier european clubs a possibility? A friendly with AZ Alkmaar would be awesome, or maybe we'll finally get that friendly with Lazio.. 🤣 |

We are Premier League, oh, we are Premier League! To further our closed season enjoyment, we get watch Farke and his Leeds side take on Norwich in the Play off semi. 😀 |

All those calls on their inferior forums to 'sack the board' and get rid of Delia. Surely, by their standards, they have had a pretty successful 15 years or so, yo-yoing the Prem under Delia's watch? I suppose having that time out of our shadow and into a bit dappled light has really put the zap on them. TBF they have had plenty of chances to build and consolidate in the Prem, but just haven't been able to do it so I can see the frustration, but they really do need to wind in the unfounded entitlement. |

Watch them sell off all the compulsory purchased land as fast as possible too. (Probably to mates at silly low prices) Then there will be no way of any future government resurrecting the Birmingham/Manchester section. Pillage and plunder. Scorched earth policies. |
 | Forum Reply | Who do we want in next round of Carabao Cup? at 17:05 27 Sep 2023
How many years were we told "that cups don't matter" and "the league is our priority"? How things change! Doesn't matter who we get. Man City at home would be great, but maybe save them for the last 8. I'd like another prem team. They mostly put out reserves in this cup so I don't see them any more difficult than lower league teams. I would go further to say lower league teams have more incentive and may well fight harder. |

It's eaten the Tory party, and shaken Labour so that may be a bonus if it means the end of FPTP and two party politics. If we transition to a new democractic process with Proportional Representation, coalition governments, cleaned up politics, HoL (second house) reform and then ultmately rejoining the single market, then it could be considered worth it. |
