To be fair, each individual team in that sequence will have had their own very different journey - I was just more intrigued by the branch that goes back to the Suffolk teams. I'm sure, for example, Weston Super Mare will have had to win a few more games to get to the point of meeting Lowestoft. |

I was interested to track our opposition back to the early preliminary rounds of the FA Cup this season, and it made for interesting reading. Coventry 1-4 Ipswich Ipswich 3-0 Bristol Rovers Bristol Rovers 3-1 Weston Super Mare Lowestoft Town 1-3 Weston Super Mare Lowestoft Town 3-1 Haringey Borough Witham Town 1-1 Haringey Borough (Haringey win on penalties) Witham Town 1-0 Sheringham Derham Town 1-3 Sheringham Sheringham 2-1 Woodbridge Town Really interesting to see the full journey of the tie, and just how local it actually began. Probably would be quite fun to pick a random non-league team next season and follow the journey all the way to Wembley! |

Tough calls all round. Part of me feels like Clarke deserves the chance after Coventry, but he's also a bit of a luxury player, and not sure if we can afford that against a team of Villa's quality. I think I'd probably go slightly more pragmatic: Palmer Johnson Tuanzebe O'Shea Greaves Davis Phillips Cajuste Enciso Delap Broadhead |

Oh yeah, I agree on O'Shea and Cajuste. They've been brilliant. But it's only the last three or four games we've really started to see it. And, they will get better still, I'm convinced of it. Both look like top international quality players. |

We've only lost three in our last ten Premier League games, and you could argue we deserved more from some of those games too. You can clearly see we're improving. Under McKenna, new signings have always taken time to get up to speed, but then had big impacts second half of the season. I think we'll see that again. I'm expecting big second halfs to the season from the likes of Jack Clarke, Jens Cajuste, Dara O'Shea, etc... |

By my reckoning, he'd be coming in as our number one striker, but with an expectation that he would initially share the work with Hirst, learn the system, and probably start to really make an impact after Christmas. Bit like what he did with Hutchinson last season - started as an understudy, eventually became pivotal to our system. His characteristics totally fit the bill for how McKenna wants to play. I've watched multiple videos of his "best bits" from last season, and everything matches with what McKenna tries to do. Personally I think Liam Delap would be a terrific signing. |

Ladapo contributed enough in our League One days for us not to begrudge him any extra money he may get for this promotion. Good luck to him. |

It certainly wouldn't kill them to use £50k of the £250,000,000 Premier League money we're getting to hire a proper designer. |

Personally, as someone from a graphic design background, I think all our graphics are naff. |

I agree Prem experience will be required, but I'd want it to be players I know would be here in the best interests of the club, rather than a pay day. Barkley has shown himself to be a good pro at Luton and I'd welcome him. Other names mentioned above such as Mings, Webster and Cresswell do make sense too, although there's no chance the latter is a starter these days! |

Utter bull**** mate. If we even got one of them, it would be our marquee signing and a stretch on our resources. |

Al Hamadi - half a season at a low-end Championship club who play attacking football and put faith in youngsters. Plymouth, or Oxford if they come up would be terrific. |

The sofa seat in the front window of The Crown Hotel in Framlingham, overlooking the square on market day with a coffee and a sausage sandwich. |
 | Forum Reply | Broadhead at 11:49 8 Jan 2024
I think this is almost certainly what's going to happen. McKenna's been easing Broadhead into the striker role for a couple of games now. It'll mean changing how we play slightly, but Sarmiento is a quality option who has come in to start. |
 | Forum Reply | Is Broadhead still considered to be patchy? at 10:37 27 Oct 2023
Broadhead is one of the most consistent, quality forwards I've seen at Portman Road since our last time in the Premier League. Anything but patchy to be honest. He's Premier League next season, with or without us. Just hope we can keep pace with his own personal trajectory. |
