I understand the thinking behind this, but, if one of our players received a genuine head injury, following a foul, during a game why should we have to play with 10 men? |

A while ago somebody, I believe it was Arsène Wenger, suggested that games should be reduced to 60 minutes total, however, it should be of actual play. This means the clock would stop everytime the ball was not in play, similar to some other sports. I feel it would solve some of the issues, although not all of them. 2 minutes to take a throw in would not run the clock down nor would moving the ball multiple times between players at a goal kick. It wouldn't stop fake injuries to purely break up the play and I am not sure how that can be fairly overcome. Thoughts? |

This time last year you were moaning that we overpaid for Delap. Let the coaching staff work with him, who is to say that Leicester got the best out of him? Everyone on here seem to have "whinging about everything" as their default setting! Until we get to Christmas we have no idea how well things are really going and I cannot recall, correct me if I am wrong, any member of a fan forum being employed by a club because of their superier knowledge of available players |

You didn't, although many have alluded to that. We do not know how many players we have enquired after, we could have set our sights on one, or or could have been a pool of 20, you cannot approach all 20 in case 10 say yes. MA et al keep their cards close to their chests, so we will never know, all we can do is hope the wait is worth it. |

Yes, the season kicks off tomorrow. No we have not brought in a replacement for Delap yet and we are likely to start with Hirst and AAH. But, it always amazes me when fans know better than their clubs management. If you want to buy something you simply go out and buy it. A car, for example. You go online, find the car you want and pay for it, possibly in installments. Simple, why don't we do the same with players? Just find one we want and just go and buy him? Firstly, the club has to be willing to sell the target player, then the player has to be willing, with his family to up roots and move home and will obviously want more money as an incentive to do so. If the car you wanted to buy wasn't exactly the right spec for you, what would you do? Wait until a better one was advertised or stand in Tesco car park and wait for one to drive in and make the owner an offer? I equate buying a player to the Tesco scenario. The car or player in our case comes in and you think, that is just what I/we want/need. You approach the driver and he doesn't want to sell it, what do you do now? Wait, or offer more money? Lets assume he accepts your kind offer of more money, is he going to let you have the car now and leave himself stranded in the car park, or insist on keeping it until he has a replacement? I think you get the idea. Personally, I think the transfer window should close begore the season starts so that every team is able to complete their business in time. Prher supermarkets are available. |

Anyone else see the resemblance between the Spanish manager and Sam the Eagle from the muppets? |

I totally agree that players are getting away with faking injuries far too much but making injured players leave the pitch for 10 minutes doesn't sit right. What happens if a goalkeeper gets clattered and has to leave the pitch for 10 minutes, would it make some managers encourage harder contact? That said, something needs to change. I would love the referee to be mic'd up as well as being to hear VAR, it would make the game much more transparent. I also would like to see some sort of intermediate penalty, like a short penalty in hockey. This might prevent some of the deliberate fouls when a breakaway is in progress. An attacking team might be 3v2 then after a deliberate foul they get all 11 men behind the ball, in my opinion its not right. |

Does this mean we might go back in for Downes, and let Phillips go back to city? |

I wonder if the Taylor booking, for taking off his shirt, was shown while Delap was close to him (Taylor) and that is where the confusion is? The PL website certainly does not show Delap being booked |
