Well the difference here with the Delap situation is he was actually in Southampton's stadium at one point, so we had little choice with two clubs so close to his signature. It appears we're the only ones prepared to take a punt on this one, so we have a better negotiating position. |

Everyone in Mark Ashton's office keeps giggling as he's about to sign, then his shoulders start going as well as he struggles to hold the pen straight... before everyone collapses in a fit of laughter on the floor. This has been going on for about 17 hours now. Hopefully it's being filmed for the next Town in 5.

None of those three were in League 1 (and with a rotten infrastructure throughout the club) the year before, so you're not comparing like with like.
Leeds, especially, are streets ahead of where we were in terms of Prem readiness. We were victims of our own (too quick) success. |
